Randall King has done it again, folks.
I’m not sure if there’s a voice that screams pure, traditional country more than Randall King’s.
The Texas native knows how to spin you back to the good ol’ days of ’90s country music, with a resume full of certified twangers, honky tonk heaters, and old fashioned barstool heartbreakers.
Or as we like to say here at Whiskey Riff, “Country-er than cow sh*t.”
And speaking of honky tonk heaters, King dropped yet another today, titled “When My Baby’s In Boots.”
Let me tell ya, this one will have you wanting to take your significant other to the local country bar and spin them around the dance floor all night long. Seriously, you can almost already envision yourself doing so just by listening to the song, and it’s one of those that will immediately put you in the best mood possible.
Not to mention, the chorus is incredibly catchy:
“When my baby’s in boots
She wants to head downtown
Find her some whiskey to shoot
Get gone in a honky tonk crowd
She loves to cut footloose
When she slides into them size 7 Luccheses
We’re gonna be 2 stepping ’til 2
I’m in for a night that’s crazy

Speaking of the song, the country star had one short and sweet message to the fans:
“Here it is y’all! Ain’t no tellin what happens, ‘When my Baby’s In Boots!'”
This is just another addition to King’s “neon” era, following his previous releases “Green Eyes Blue” and “You In A Honky Tonk.”
Man, this one already has me ready to slam some beers and get the weekend started off right.
