Former NFL Running Back Zac Stacy Sentenced To 6 Months In Prison For Violently Beating His Ex-Girlfriend

Back in 2021, horrific video footage was released of former New York Jets and St. Louis Rams running back Zac Stacy beating and throwing around his ex-girlfriend, who is also the mother of his child, at her home in Orange County, Florida.

With that being said, according to WESH, Stacy is now looking at minimal prison time over the assault.

Stacy has been sentenced to six month in prison and a year of probation by an Orange County judge, as part of a plea deal, he plead guilty to two counts of criminal mischief… and the battery charges were dropped.

His NFL career with the Rams and Jets spanned from 2013 to 2015, ending his career with the XFL’s Memphis Express.

The affidavit states that Stacy:

“Struck (her) on the right side of her head, and picked her up and threw her against the television, causing it to crack and fall over.

He continued yelling at her and striking her while she got up from the floor, and picked her up again and threw her into the baby’s bouncy chair. While she was still on the floor pleading for him to stop, he picked her up and body-slammed her onto a baby walker, causing the object to break.”

Stacy originally said that his ex, Kristin Evans, had staged the video out of “bitterness” because he didn’t want to be in a long-term relationship with her.

He told police:

“It’s unfortunate because I just got out of rehab for anxiety and depression-like eight months ago. I dropped everything to come down here and support the mother of my child in her last trimester, and the baby.

I let her know I wasn’t trying to be with her or nothing like that. This is a case of bitterness. That’s why she did this. The whole assault thing. She staged it. She set me up.”

Unreal…

Zac Stacy’s Ex Speaks Out On Arrest Video

Anyone who saw the Zac Stacy video knows what kind of absolute monster you’d have to be to beat on a woman like that… without any regard for your young son who was just a few away while you knocked his mother around the room.

It’s utterly disgusting, and he should be locked up for it.

But perhaps in some of the most shocking news we’ve heard all year (and there’s been A LOT of it), Zac claimed he was… wait for it… set up?

Yes, Zac Stacy is blaming HER for the “whole assault thing,” as he put it.

And while he did admit that what he did was “f*cked up,” he also seemed to imply that he didn’t know any man could have handled it differently:

“This is just a case of just girl is just bitter that I don’t want to be with her and she’s just trying to destroy my whole reputation ’cause of this shit.

It was fucked that I reacted the way I did, I don’t know what man… how any man could have handled that situation.”

Not sure if seen a more egregious display of denial in my entire life, but it’s pretty damn terrifying that he’s trying justify brutally beating on the mother of his child like that.

Staged? How do you “stage” getting beat up when the whole thing is on camera? I mean, we all know Jussie Smollett couldn’t pull off…

After the release of the arrest video, Zac Stacy’s ex-girlfriend, Kris Evans, spoke out, calling his performance typical of abusers:

“I don’t know how you can stage getting your ass beat on multiple occasions, you can’t. But this is what abusers do. They make you seem like you’re the crazy one and they’re the victim.”

She added that perhaps the worst part of the video was the way the cops consoled him as he told them his side of the story.

“It makes me more upset that the cops are consoling him, telling him to breathe… everything about this makes me uncomfortable.”

The 30-year-old ex-NFL running back played four seasons at Vanderbilt from 2009-2012. He was drafted by the Rams in 2013 and finished his short career with the Jets in 2015.
