Tough news coming out of the baseball world today.
Chicago White Sox starter Mike Clevinger is being accused of domestic violence and child abuse by the mother of his 10 month old daughter.
Olivia Finestead took to her Instagram story today to claim he threw an IPad at her while she was pregnant, strangled her, and threw chewing tobacco on their child.
She also added pictures taken on bruises, marks, and scratches that she says came from him being physical with her.
She also alleged that he’s a drug addict, using mushrooms and acid everyday, and has had the same pattern of behavior with numerous other women, including the mothers of his other children.
According to the stories, she has filed a report with the police.

She has continued to post the messages she’s received from other women regarding his behavior towards them in the past, revealing a truly troubling pattern.
Not good at all.
Mike was signed by the White Sox this offseason on a 1 year deal, having pitched for the San Diego Padres last season.
The team released the following statement.
“Major League Baseball and the Chicago White Sox take any and all allegations very seriously, and the White Sox are completely supportive of the Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse policy shared by MLB and the MLBPA. MLB opened an investigation after learning of these allegations.
The White Sox were not aware of the allegations or the investigation at the time of his signing. The White Sox will refrain from comment until MLB’s investigative process has reached its conclusion”
No word on his status for the upcoming season, but I would say it’ll be doubtful he’ll be back on the field until the investigation is finished and a verdict is made.
I truly hope justice can be served.
