Flatland Cavalry Drop Stellar Fall-Inspired Project, ‘Songs To Keep You Warm’

Flatland Cavalry is BACK.

It feels like yesterday when the group dropped their third studio album, Welcome To Countryland, last year, and I still find myself going back to the project at least once a week.

There’s something about their music that puts you in a good mood, and makes you wanna take off for head-clearing drive down the road… you know, really get close to those feelings.

Aside from their stripped down Far Out West Sessions acoustic project, we hadn’t gotten any new music from Flatland until they dropped “Mountain Song” back in August.

However, we now have a whole new batch of songs to spin, as the group released their brand new EP, Songs To Keep You Warm, today.

Produced by acclaimed producer Bruce Robison at The Bunker in Lockhart, Texas, the EP features a number of songs that can brighten your mood in a heartbeat, just in time before the cold weather sets in.

Not to mention, they brought in some solid features for the EP, including Kaitlin Butts and Ashley Monroe.

Front man Cleto Cordero weighed in on the new project:

“An idea came to me in June, out of the blue, late one evening at bedtime after a very long and wearisome few weeks on the road. I was in the kind of place where I was completely exhausted, both mentally and physically, and laying there in a state of surrender, the entire idea for this EP just flashed into my mind: The studio and producer, the songs and the theme, ‘Songs To Keep You Warm.’

Historically, we have never announced a fall project, so I am excited to release a curated batch of songs that, I believe, pair well with the season of chilly overcast days, falling leaves and all things pumpkin-spiced.

I hope these songs are something fans will cling to during the colder months—something to keep them warm until spring arrives!”
