It sounds like Koe Wetzel might have a new song coming SOON.

His team just posted a story on Instagram, which had a phone number you can call to hear a teaser of the new music.

If the short clip is any indication, the sound falls right in line with the previous single from the new record, “April Showers.”

Part of the number featured on the post, “855,” lead some fans to speculate that the new tune might be out tomorrow on 8/05, which is New Music Friday, and I wouldn’t put it past him.

Of course, Koe tends to drop music whenever the hell he feels like it, so don’t be surprised if this one comes without much prior notice and is available in the very near future:

“Call me. 1-855-HEL-PASO.”

Part of the number also spelled out Hell Paso, which Koe tweeted is the name of the record back in February, but hasn’t ever confirmed it officially anywhere else since then.

And if you follow him on Twitter (which you should), than you know you have to take a lot of what he says with a big ol’ grain of salt… but this time, I think he might be serious:

Koe has yet to confirm other details regarding a release date and other specifics for the album, but we do know that he went out to the famous Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas to record everything earlier this year.

He previously elaborated on the sound of the forthcoming record, too, saying it will be along the lines of the alternative sound we know and love already before he dives headfirst into country:

“We’re throwing out all the stops on this record. It’s more alternative, southern rock, heavier rock than what we’re used to. But I wanted this record to be that before I started making my country music.

This record does have some country sounding songs, but overall it’s more of an alternative record.

I just wanted to go in and kinda give everybody somethin’ to chew on before they got the full country record.”

Get excited, people… there looks to be a lot more coming from Mr. Texas himself very soon.
