What a scene in New Jersey this afternoon…

After Antonio Brown’s wild move to rip his uniform and shirt off and quit in the middle of the Buccaneers vs. Jets game, Bruce Arians confirmed that he is no longer apart of the team.

When he was asked after the game by NFL on FOX if he saw it happen, and if he ever seen anything like it before, he responded:

“Yeah, I did. Never seen anything like that in all my years.”

However, when Tom Brady was asked about Brown’s departure, he seemed to have AB’s back, depite the fact that he left the team high and dry in the middle of game.

Understanding the scope of Antonio Brown’s mental health issues perhaps more than anyone, he called for empathy and compassion:

“It’s a difficult situation and I think everybody should hopefully do what they can to help him in ways that he really needs it.

We all love him we care about him deeply, we want to see him be at his best and unfortunately it won’t be with our team, but we have a lot of friendships that will last.

Again, I think most important thing about football is your relationship with your friends and your teammates and they go beyond the field.

I think everyone should be very compassionate and empathetic towards some very difficult things that are happening.”

Well said Tom… it’s important not to lose sight of the fact that Antonio Brown is clearly battling some demons, and has been for the better part of the past few years.

Of course, CTE seems like an obvious culprit… hopefully he can get the help that he needs.

Even O.J. Simpson chimed in, sharing his 10 cents worth in a Twitter video:

“There’s one thing that we can agree on, as well as the other people here, is that what Tom Brady has done for Antonio Brown, for him to pull what he pulled today is completely inexcusable.”

“Playoffs are coming up, and you pull this crap on a guy who really went out on a limb for you, is totally BS. Inexcusable.”

He also even sent out a tweet after the game, but it still appears he doesn’t even care much…

This is a prediction I can bet behind right here, though:
