Yellowstone Season 4: Jefferson White Breaks Down Jimmy’s Intimate Horse Scene From Episode 7, “Keep The Wolves Close”

What. A. SCENE.

We were fortunate enough to be able to sit down with Jefferson White, the actor that plays Jimmy Hurdstrom on the hit series Yellowstone, for the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast last week, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to ask him about the first time he jacked off a horse.

If you watched last night’s episode of Yellowstone, Episode 7 titled “Keep The Wolves Close,” you undoubtedly laughed your ass off at the sight of Jimmy collecting horse semen for the first time in his life, and what I can imagine is the first time in Jefferson White’s life as well.

Here’s what he had to say about the intimate encounter:

“So Jimmy first meets Emily to help her collect from stallions… it’s a very serious, big deal industry.

To do all that next to Kathryn is such an incredible gift because she is an unbelievably talented actor and she’s getting thrown into this world for the first time too.”

Jimmy went even further on the Stories From The Bunkhouse segment:

“Jimmy’s never done this before. Jimmy’s incredibly uncomfortable with it, but we’re at a real, working ranch where they do this every day. This is big business.

I got in line, the vet techs there showed me how to do it… it’s my job in that moment to do it and my number one priority is keeping the horse safe because that’s the last thing I wanna do is hurt the horse.

That whole scene is literally one take, we got it in one. The line ‘I just jacked off a horse’ was scripted, everything in that room was scripted.”

You gotta love it.

Imagine reading the script and you get to the part where you gotta jack off a horse? What are the thoughts and emotions that run through your mind in that moment?

Jeff is of course a professional so where there’s a job that needs to get done, he’s gonna do it… but that doesn’t mean we all can’t have a laugh at his expense.

“You’ve been hip deep in the grossest shit,” added Ian Bohen who plays Ryan on the show.

“I think Taylor just loves watching you… fish out of water, putting it to you.”

I mean, getting chased by a bear, shoving your arm up a bull’s ass… he ain’t wrong.

The great Jefferson White recently joined the podcast to discuss his journey as Jimmy Hurdstrom on the hit series Yellowstone, working with Taylor Sheridan, the immense talent of Ryan Bingham, learning how to rope and ride, stunt doubles, and people yelling “shut the fuck up Jimmy” when he’s walking down the street.

We also dove into the new 6666’s spinoff, wearing boots around New York, the Yellowstone soundtrack, hosting the new Yellowstone companion podcast, and more.

The podcast is available everywhere. Download the podcast on Apple Podcasts by searching “Whiskey Riff Raff” or click here.

We’re also available on Spotify and wherever else you can listen to podcasts.

Cheers, y’all.
