CMA Fest may have been canceled this year, but the two-night CMA Summer Jam concert series kicked off last night at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater.
Night one featured Luke Bryan, newlyweds Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, and Carly Pearce, among others.
And it also featured Dwight Yoakam and Carrie Underwood teaming up for a duet of Dwight’s 1993 hit “A Thousand Miles From Nowhere.”
Carrie shared how special it was to share the stage with a legend like Dwight Yoakam:
Never in a million years would I have thought I would get to share the stage with someone this cool! @DwightYoakam you are a LEGEND and, now, a friend as well! Thank you! #CMASummerJam Guitars…Cadillacs…And Cowboy Hats 📸: @JeffJohnsonFilm pic.twitter.com/1T9kYc3tQl
