UPDATE: Missouri “Bartender” Who Went Viral For Destroying Military ID Doesn’t Even Work At The Bar, Gets Kicked Out Of His Band

Oh, here’s a twist…

Over the weekend, footage of quite possibly the biggest tool in the world surfaced in Osage Beach, Missouri, on Lake of the Ozarks.

You can read the full story HERE, but basically we had an idiot bartender at Loto Lounge berate a group of military members who wanted to get a drink, claiming they were using fake IDs. He then bent one of their IDs in half, called it fake, mocked their “fake” military service, and even said they were “too young to know what 9/11 is.”

Eventually, a police officer showed up (a veteran himself) and said that his ID used to look just like that. The group of military members left and went about their business.

But not before the embarrassing, disrespectful, clown show of a video was plastered all over the internet.

And now, after getting torched to kingdom come, the bar, his band, and the entire town are speaking out against him.

Roll the tape:

Although, he was behind the bar serving drinks, he apparently doesn’t work there.

According to a post on the bar’s Facebook page, (which doesn’t seem to be active anymore), he’s a musician that has “personal ties,” to the venue, not an actual employee.

But if that’s the case, nobody seemed to tell him to get his ass out from behind the bar while he proceeded to drive the entire business into the ground. You’d think someone that actually worked there would’ve stepped in to mitigate this disaster.

But, it gets worse for Josh.

He was also apparently kicked out of his band:

“I would like to start by saying that I am completely disgusted by the actions of a now FORMER member of my band.”

“Former” member… OOF.

“It should go without saying that such blatant disrespect for our great nation would ever be tolerated. It’s taken me a few days to process everything and I would like to apologize for the delay in my statement. I was only making sure this issue was handled in the most appropriate manner which was to release said band member as well as removing any and all association.

If there’s one thing I was lucky enough to take away from growing up near a large military base, its the pride I have in my country, our military, and it’s troops. The words he spoke have NO reflection on what this band believes or stands for nor do we condone these actions.

Furthermore, I would like to extend the most sincerest apology to the folks who took offense to his statements.
This band will always be a big supporter of our military and I hope that message is conveyed clearly with this statement. The sacrifices that are made daily for my freedom isn’t something I take lightly.

In conclusion, I would like to thank everyone that’s texted or called to show their support for me and the band during these difficult times. This bump in our road isn’t going to stop the ever growing process this band makes. God bless America!”

Ouch…

And look, fake IDs happen all the time and maybe he gets a TON of people coming in that claim to be in the military. But even if that is the case, there is NO reason for you to carry on like this. None whatsoever. Drunk or not. Politely send them on their way if you’re THAT convinced it’s a fake.

Nope, not what happened here. And now look at where it got you… you’re perhaps the most hated man on the internet (at least for now).

Josh has since issued an apology on Facebook, but something tells me the damage has been done.
