Morgan Wallen Removed From SNL Lineup After Partying At Alabama, Issues Apology

Well, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve seen what’s been going on with Morgan Wallen lately.

This past weekend, Morgan was in Tuscaloosa to watch Alabama take on Texas A&M, and let’s just say that Morgan had himself a weekend there.

And I’m not just talking about the game…

Several videos surfaced on Tik Tok of Morgan partying with Bama students after the game, taking shots while also shooting his shot with quite a few of the ladies…

Of course the girls that he hung out with seemed pretty pumped to be partying with one of the biggest names in country music right now. But as others pointed out, we are still in the middle of a pandemic and sucking face with strangers in a crowded bar may not be the best move right now.

And NBC agreed…

Morgan, who was slated to perform on Saturday Night Live this weekend, along with Bill Burr, has since been removed from the show as an obvious COVID risk.

He has since issued the following apology:

“This is a tough video for me to make, but a necessary one… my actions this past weekend were pretty shortsighted and they’ve publicly affected my long-term goals and my dreams.”

And while Morgan didn’t test positive for COVID, show producers felt that it wasn’t safe for him to participate this weekend.

Perhaps we’ll see him on SNL in the future…
