Breathe easy people, Season 4 is already in the works.
After this past weekend’s INSANE conclusion to Season 3, fans we’re left juggling a roller coaster of emotions. On the one hand, the excitement and energy of the season finale had people buzzing, but then, the painful reality sets in that you’re not gonna be watching Yellowstone at all for a while…
According to an interview with Deadline, show co-creator, writer and director Taylor Sheridan has hinted that show could possibly conclude after Season 6, which might be sooner than fans want, but there’s no sense in dragging the story out for the sake of more seasons (looking at you How I Met Your Mother).
“Well, I know how it ends. I know how the series ends, and you have to move in a straight line toward that end. You can’t walk in circles, waiting to get there, because the show will stagnate. So, you have to keep moving forward, and there have to be consequences in the world, and there has to be an evolution toward a conclusion. Can that be another two seasons beyond this? It could.”
And despite delays due to the pandemic, the show is already started filming for Season 4, this time, exclusively in Montana.
“We’re supposed to start mid-August, and we’re putting that together as best we can. I’m fortunate that this show shoots on a ranch in Montana. We’re going to shoot exclusively there this year, or in and around it.”
And start they did.
Actor Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, has already shared some photos on set.
