G is extending the Dive Bar Tour into 2020, I like that.
Garth initially made the announcement during his Dive Bar Tour stop at Prospectors in Mount Laurel, New Jersey (right across the Philly border) but on a recent episode of Inside Studio G, he went into a little more detail.
We made the announcement, it is official, it’s like why stop eating ice cream, right? The dive bars are just too good, so we’re gonna continue them through 2020. You’re lucky enough to do stadiums, arenas, theaters, outdoor shows, whatever… dive bars might be hittin’ right on sweet spot for me. We made that official announcement from Prospectors the night that we were supposed to do two dive bars, but the weather was so bad in Boston that we decided to kick off 2020 with the Boston dive bar.”
That cancelled Boston show was supposed to be at the Six String Grill in Foxborough, so Garth should be kicking off the tour there next year.
