There you have it.

This morning, Riley Green was on CBS Mornings today talking about his forthcoming album That’s Just Me, his newfound love for acting, life on the road, and how far he’s come in terms of his career.

He talked about how popular country music has become, in part thanks to streaming, and how quickly fans have learned the words to songs he’s release from the album, as well as some that he’s teased before but have yet to be released as a studio cut:

“It’s been great. When I grew up, it was burnt CDs, you know, you had to hear a song on the radio to know it, you had to go buy a CD at Walmart or make your own. Now, there’s so many avenues to find music, kids are finding it on Spotify, Amazon, Apple and all that, so I feel like they want to know a song that’s not known yet.

They want to be the one to tell their buddies, ‘Hey have you heard this?’ So when I play a brand new song, people know them, they’ll go find a clip on YouTube or something. They haven’t had the exclusive listen like y’all have, but I’ve loved hearing y’alls feedback because y’all are the first ones to hear it.”

Gail King noted how much variety Riley has on the tracklist (though it’s all of course decidedly country), and Riley explained that it was very intentional, because he’s always loved different kinds of music and wants to explore different ways to present his music to fans:

“That was a very mindful thing. Growing up, I listened to, again, burnt CDs, Tim McGraw and Tupac, Merle Haggard and Sublime, so I loved all kinds of music growing up. So for me when I make a record now, I wanna make sure it’s got a lot of different types of songs.”

Of course, Gail had to ask him about his relationship status, because the ladies are always wanting to know what’s going on in his love life, and Riley had a simple, one-word answer:

“Yeah.”

Riley has talked before about how he’s just not in a place he feels like he can be in a committed, long-term relationship because of his insane work schedule, and honestly, that’s probably smart… I’m sure he dates around and has girls he hangs out with, but it sounds like it’s gonna be a while before he’s ready to settle down:

Riley has released several songs from the That’s Just Me tracklist, including “Go Again” with Hannah McFarland, the lead single “Think As You Drunk,” “My Way” and most recently, “Imagine That”. It’s due out everywhere on September 18th, just days before his debut as a judge on The Voice.

Thirsting Over Riley Green?

Y’all must’ve been hiding under a rock…

Riley Green will join The Voice as a judge for Season 30 of the reality singing competition show, where he will be joined by fellow judges Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Queen Latifah. He met Queen Latifah already (I think she’s a fan), and it seems like he’s finally met the other judges, though I don’t think he really knows any of them very well yet, so fans will really get to know each of them, and their dynamic as a whole, in realtime when the show actually airs sometime this fall.

And while he’s never done anything like this for in terms of judging a reality TV singing competition, Riley did make his acting debut on the TV show Marshals a few months ago, and during an appearance on Country Countdown USA, he says he felt like he was already busy before Marshals, so now, it’s going to all be taken up a notch:

“I feel that way. I’ve taken on a lot of new ventures. I wasn’t hurting for things to do already. But it’s been a lot of fun. I got a taste of it with Marshals. I thought I was busy before that.”

He also revealed that there were two different appearances that led him to secure The Voice gig, which will definitely bring him a ton of exposure and introduce him to a much more mainstream crowd, even though he’s already a country star.

And we now have a premiere date for the show, as The Voice shared on their social media accounts that the first episode will air on September 21st on NBC. They included all four judges spinning around in their chairs, a sight fans will see a lot more of this fall:

And because this is really the first major national gig Riley has had in terms of TV shows (aside from a four-episode appearance on Marshals), there’s plenty of music fans who watch shows like this who don’t really know who he is or anything about his music.

But because Riley is always a fan-favorite among ladies, whether they’re country music fans or not, and he certainly has fans of The Voice intrigued as many of them were thirsting over Riley in the announcement video above:

“Who is Riley?? He is hooootttttttt.”

“Wellllllll that Riley kid is a hottie.”

“Wait – you caught my attention with Riley! Who is that!?!”

“Wait who’s Riley, he cute.”

“Will solely watch this for Riley Green.”

“I’m going to watch because of Riley!!!! Drool”

“Watching just to look at Riley.”

“Riley will be the only reason to watch.”

“I don’t know who Riley Green is but mercy—he’s cute.”

“I’m watching just to see Riley Green!”

“I’m just watching because of Riley!”

“We all know every single woman is choosing Riley.”

I think women all over the country are about to fall in love… welcome to country music, ladies.

And if y’all haven’t seen his music video for “Worst Way” yet, you’re welcome…

Riley’s new album That’s Just Me will be released right around the time The Voice airs on September 18th.
