Freddy the viral World Cup soccer fan has finally made his way to Music City U.S.A.
The World Cup itself has been exciting, but some of the best content of the event has been visitors from other countries realizing how great the United States of America truly is. A German soccer fan, known only as Freddy, really set the bar high as he drove through the U.S., discovered American establishments like Waffle House and Buc-ee’s, and crazily got connected with country music star Ella Langley.
He and the friends he’s traveling with are certified Ella Fellas.
And because Freddy became a fan of country music while he was visiting the states for the World Cup, it’s only right that he checked out Nashville before he went back across the pond. I sure hope he’s been using the guide to the city that we here at Whiskey Riff whipped up.
Even though the team he is rooting for got knocked out early, Freddy and his friends have made the most out of their time in America. After leaving social media for a while, he triumphantly returned and revealed that he was in the Tennessee area. That led many to assume that he’d make a point to stop by and check out Nashville.
Sure enough, Freddy shared a video of he and his travel partners cruising down Broadway. They decided to cue up “Broadway Girls” by Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen, which wouldn’t be my first choice… but when in Rome, right?
“HELLO NASHVILLLLEEE!”
Some people out on Broadway earlier today were in the presence of a social media star and didn’t even know it.
Naturally, once X users saw that Freddy was in the heart of Music City, they took to the reply section of the post and started giving suggestions of where he should go while he’s in town. There were also plenty of people just welcoming Freddy into town, and some even encouraging him to do the Nashville tourist thing and get a cowboy hat and a pair of boots:
Unless you plan on staying downtown get out of there by 2:30 or be prepared to sit in rush hour traffic. If you’re staying go to Reds615 hot chicken for some amazing food.

I really liked Rippy’s Honky Tonk and Zany’s Comedy Club (@RippysHonkyTonk)

Tootsie’s!
Not fancy but one of THE original Honky Tonk’s in Nashville.
The new places are nice but very Nash-Vegas— Smithtown (@Smithtownrocks) July 16, 2026
You should visit Franklin, TN while you are here. About 30 miles south of Nashville. The downtown area is pure Americana.

Fried Bologna Sandwich at Roberts Western World.

Couldn’t agree more with that last one. A fried bologna sandwich from Robert’s (A.K.A. the Recession Special) is a right of passage when in Nashville. Enjoy Music City Freddy! If you want my advice… stay as far away from the pedal taverns as possible,
