Even Swifties Are Questioning Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Choice Of Song Lyrics For The Napkins At Their Wedding

Interesting choice…

By now I’m sure you’re sick of hearing about the wedding between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The pop superstar and the tight end for the Kansas City Chief got married last Friday during a star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden, and due to a strict “no phones” policy, a lot of the details of the ceremony have been kept under wraps.

After the wedding it was announced that the ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler – yes, Happy Gilmore performed the wedding – and it’s been reported that Taylor walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of one of her own songs. They also raffled off some high-dollar prizes like a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle (gotta think that was Kelce’s idea), designer handbags and Cartier watches.

But it’s the couple’s decision to use the lyrics from another one of the pop star’s songs that’s raising eyebrows online, even amongst the Swifties.

A photo was shared by Maren Morris showing the custom embroidered napkins at the wedding, which featured the couple’s initials along with a line from Swift’s song “Blank Space.”

“So it’s gonna be forever…”

Now, it’s not necessarily that line that has people questioning the decision, but what comes after it:

“So it’s gonna be forever
Or it’s gonna go down in flames
You can tell me when it’s over
If the high was worth the pain
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They’ll tell you I’m insane”

Not exactly a song you’d think they’d want to use in a wedding…

Of course Travis may have had a hand in picking out the lyrics too: Way back in 2023, he revealed during a Wall Street Journal interview that “Blank Space” is his favorite song from his new bride:

“‘Blank Space’ was one I wanted to hear live for sure. I could make a bad guy good for the weekend. That’s a helluva line.

I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f—ing mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”

(I don’t know what Travis means when he says he’s “never been a man of words” because his famous “squirle” tweet from 2013 is one of the greatest things ever written).

Now, Travis may have changed his mind about his favorite Taylor Swift song now that there’s an album written about their relationship. On her latest album, Taylor gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at their lives together – including a song called “Wood” that paid tribute to his…well, his dong:

“Forgive me, it sounds cocky
He ah-matized me and opened my еyes
Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see
His love was thе key that opened my thighs
Girls, I don’t need to catch the bouquet
To know a hard rock is on the way”

Not sure why they didn’t use that one on their napkins instead…
