This fishing outing was a real who’s who.
Country music star Luke Bryan recently brought together an absolutely stellar fishing group, and he’s got pictures to prove it. The photo of the crew – which consists of professional fisherman and arguably the greatest bass angler of all time, Kevin VanDam, Bass Pro Shop CEO Johnny Morris, fishing icon Bill Dance, iconic TV star Steve Harvey and Luke Bryan (and all of the bass they caught) – has made waves online.
It appears that Luke Bryan hosted the gathering, which ended up being a rather successful fishing trip. They all ended up reeling in some monster bass, and KVD documented it all with his post, saying:
“So grateful for the opportunity to get this special group out on the water together. We come from different places, but it’s the love of chasing a little green fish that brought us all here.
The stories, fellowship, and laughs from these boys still have me smiling. We tore up a little tackle, caught a lot of bass, and made some great memories. Can’t thank Luke Bryan enough for hosting. Look forward to the next adventure with these characters!”
Talk about a crew.

Yeah… I’ll admit I thought this was artificial intelligence-generated at first too. Especially that second picture in the post where they are all holding up absolutely massive bass. But nope… that’s just the good, old-fashioned result of ripping lips. Luke has a very well-maintained and stocked lake on his farm property, a 20-acre lake believe it or not, and they got some BIGS in there. Hey, Luke… give a brother a call, eh?
And it’s safe to say that the boat was filled up with plenty of people that were very familiar with the art of bass fishing. I mean… the GOAT, KVD? Bill Dance? And Johnny Morris? In the same boat? It doesn’t get much better than that if you call yourself a fan of fishing.
Steve Harvey might be the most surprising person featured in the picture, but even he’s a big time fisherman. You can tell by how excitedly he described his catch in this TikTok post that, like the picture above, has also gone viral:
