Giving fans and followers an update along with some advice for any woman embarking on IVF.

Bunnie Xo has been as real as it gets when it comes to giving updates about her and Jelly Roll’s journey to becoming parents. Bunnie and Jelly were going to keep this journey private for a long time, but they decided to open up about it after Jelly Roll noted that wanting to have a child significantly motivated him to lose weight.

“My wife and I are talking about having a baby. And it really made me realize, at almost 40, I was like, that means I got to live to at least 60. I got to see this kid into college.”

While Bunnie Xo is highly involved in the lives of Jelly Roll’s two children from previous relationships, the couple has decided they want a child who shares their DNA. To achieve this goal, Bunnie Xo shared with fans that she’s going through IVF and has periodically given her followers updates on her journey.

In her last update, Bunnie Xo had just gone through an egg retrieval and shared with fans that the aftermath was rough.

“So last time we had a podcast, I gave y’all an update all the way up to the egg retrieval. I do have some news for you guys after the egg retrieval. I would just like to let you guys know that it f***** sucked.

I think I ended up with a mild case of OHSS, and I’m sorry, but the women who get the severe cases of that, holy freaking moly.”

While she felt better giving that update, given that some time had passed and her OHSS was better, the most recent update she gave to fans appears to indicate that she is going through the thick of another IVF round to do another egg retrieval.

She explains that the more eggs you have, the greater the chance you have of one becoming an embryo.

“I’m in medical menopause, and it’s been hellacious. It’s been the worst f***** thing I’ve ever been through in my life.”

“So I’m doing my second round of IVF. The last cycle, we got eggs, they are frozen, whatever. But I guess to increase your chances of having a baby, you need to have as many eggs as possible, which is why women end up doing 5-10 IVF cycles. Which hats off to you, broads, because there is no way, shape, or form that I could do that.”

Before starting this next round of IVF, Bunnie Xo shared that she did a completely different protocol than the last round, and she had shared with her doctor that she did not want to take a drug called Lupron, but that is what she is currently taking during this IVF round. In her words, the drug is used for a lot of different things, one of which is IVF. She also told viewers that at one point her father was on the drug, and now that she’s been on it, she feels bad for not supporting him more, knowing how harsh it is on the body.

“I’ve almost gone to the hospital probably ten times in the past 48 hours. My estrogen is normally anywhere from 60-100. I’m a juicy b**** like I love estrogen, I almost have estrogen dominance, is what I have. They dropped my estrogen to a 14. It is the worst thing I’ve ever been through in my life. Women who are going through menopause, my heart aches for you.

My bones hurt so bad. I can’t even lift my shirt over my head without feeling like my shoulders are going to crack off. I’ve had a couple of hot flashes, but I get cold sweats, and it makes my blood sugar irregulated, and I’m like teeth chattering, freezing, and I feel like I’m going to faint. I’m talking like you just feel like physically ill. Nauseous, I’ve lost weight, I can’t eat, like it’s been so bad.”

Bunnie noted that his round of IVF has been a lot heavier than past rounds, and because her hormones were so suppressed, she feels like she might need to take a break to let her body rest and return to its normal state. She also shared that her first protocol she loved and felt like the process was smooth, but this round of treatment pushed her in a bad way, and she wants to “call it what it is and figure out another game plan.”

At the end of the podcast clip, Bunnie Xo advises all women to stay away from Lupron, given her experience, and shared with fans that if they are on that medication for other needs, her heart goes out to them. It sounds like the side effects hit her hard, and it was not the standard list of side effects she experienced.

As I’ve always said, Bunnie Xo’s sharing her vulnerable experience with IVF not only empowers other women and removes the stigma of talking about fertility, but she is also preparing women for what their bodies might go through. Bunnie Xo is as real as they get.

We hope that, God willing, all of this pain will be worth it in the end when Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll have a child of their own.
