Ella Langley is for the people.
Moments like this are what create lasting fans. It’s always heartwarming when an artist brings a fan on stage. We see Lainey Wilson do it most nights when she’s on tour, crowing her Cowgirl of the Night or interacting with young fans who are holding up signs. Not only do moments like this create a lasting memory for these impressionable young girls, but it also empowers them to chase their dreams seeing a powerful woman like Lainey Wilson on stage pressuring hers.
Ella Langley is now following in those footsteps, sharing the stage with some of her young fans. During a recent show in Charleston, South Carolina, Langley made a little country girl’s dream come true during her set. The young girl met Langley during her VIP meet-and-greet session, and the two bonded over their favorite song, “That’s Why We Fight.”
“So we were in the meet and greet and she asked me what’s my favorite song to do, and it really does change by the night. And randomly tonight, I said, ‘That’s Why We Fight.’ And she said, ‘Wait, that’s my favorite too.’ So I think it’s only right that we do the song together. What do you think?”
The little girl nodded her head shyly. Langley then asked the crowd what they thought about the girl joining Langley for a duet, and they all screamed in agreement.
“What do y’all think? Y’all give it up for Miss Sadie! Come on!”
One of Langley’s crew members walked out on stage to give the young fan a microphone. Before the song started, Langley’s guitar player got to her eye level to hype her up for their duet. Langley led off with the first few lines, but quickly, the fan chimed in and began singing with Langley. As Langley felt her confidence growing, she grabbed her hand and strutted to the front of the stage to continue the performance.
As the song continues, the young girl’s confidence takes over, and she is rocking the stage. The whole time, she’s bopping to the beat of the music like she was made to do this. At the song’s end, Langley bends down and gives her a big ole bear hug before security lifts her from the stage over the guard rail to help her be reunited with her family.
Talk about a memory that will last a lifetime. The young girl’s mother posted the clip to social media, praising Langley for her kind spirit.
