Maybe we weren’t wrong, just early.
Back on April Fools Day, we posted a prank article announcing that the long-awaited collaboration between Morgan Wallen and Drake was finally happening. The collaboration has been rumored for a long time, so it was low-hanging fruit, but at the time there wasn’t any evidence that it was actually happening.
Now though, it may be coming true.
Honestly, it’s seemed inevitable for a while now. Back in 2023, Morgan appeared alongside the rapper in his “You Break My Heart” music video. And last year in Houston, Drake made an appearance with Morgan for his now-famous “Broadway Girls” walkout during a stop at NRG Stadium on his I’m The Problem Tour:
@tickpick The best walkout he’s ever done 🤠 #tickpick #tickets #morganwallen #drake #houston #imtheproblem #walkout #countrymusic #houstontx
Then last September, Drake threw more fuel on the burning rumors of a collab between the two when he wore a Morgan Wallen jacket on stage during a show in Berlin:
And a recent photo posted to Instagram by frequent Drake collaborator Octavian appeared to show Morgan at the rapper’s Texas ranch:
All signs are clearly pointing to something in the works between the two. But the real bombshell came over the past few days, as Drake geared up to finally announce the release date of his upcoming album Iceman.
Earlier today, Drake revealed that the album would be dropping on May 15, 2026. (The release date was announced by Drake placing a large block of ice in a parking lot in his hometown of Toronto, Canada and melting to reveal the news. Gotta give him credit, pretty creative).
And several “leak” accounts have indicated that Iceman will finally feature the long-awaited Morgan Wallen collaboration:
Yet another shared what they claimed was the leaked tracklist, showing a collaboration called “Cold Nights” featuring Morgan.
And while it’s not really a “leak,” prediction markets are clearly expecting the Morgan Wallen feature to show up on the album, with Kalshi currently giving Morgan the second best odds (behind 21 Savage) of making an appearance on Iceman.

Of course none of this is confirmed, but all signs right now are clearly pointing to the leaks being legit and a collab between Drake and Morgan Wallen appearing on Iceman.
We’ll see whether it’s actually called “Cold Nights,” or whether it’s true at all.
Morgan has continued to experiment more with rap, most notably on his recent remix of the highly controversial “Miami” with Rick Ross and Lil Wayne, so it seems like the perfect time to finally get a crossover between the two. Though it would make many country purists not only roll their eyes but subsequently condemn the 32-year-old singer/songwriter more than they do already, it simply feels like a no-brainer.
Between Drake being the highest-selling artist of all time with over 298.5 million units sold in the U.S., according to the RIAA and Wallen himself continually breaking Billboard records and dominating the charts, a crossover between the two would no doubt be a giant success (and piss off a ton of people).
And if it finally happens, you gotta think 2012 Morgan Wallen would be pretty pumped:
