The Detroit Lions Comment “Dibs” On Viral Video Of 31-Pound Baby

One of the best things to happen on this app.

We are possibly in the final days of TikTok being an app available in the United States. The Supreme Court has argued for quite some time whether the Chinese-owned company TikTok should be allowed in the United States. After going back and forth, as of right now, unless the media platform is sold by its parent company, TikTok will be banned in the United States on January 19th, ceasing all U.S. operations.

There are some rumors that Elon Musk might purchase the U.S. portion of the app, Mr. Beast reportedly put in an offer with some other billionaires, but as the days tick down to the alleged shutdown, it’s a waiting game. So, like millions of other Americans, I am spending every ounce of my free time scrolling on my FYP and giving it one last college try, trying to make a viral video as my dreams of becoming TikTok famous are fizzling out.

In the midst of my scroll the other evening, I passed by this video of an insanely large six-month-old who weighs a whopping 31 pounds, according to his mother‘s caption.

“He’s in the 99th percentile for everything. We love a chunky baby!”

@madisonpeltzer He’s in the 99th percentile for everything 🫠 we love a chunky baby!!!! #firsttimemom #fatbaby #barbie #momsoftiktok #mom #momlife #viral #fypシ゚viral ♬ original sound – NordicBeast

I giggled at the video and watched it a few times. However, I missed out on the best part of this video after scrolling on by not visiting the comments section. One comment went viral and led the mother to make another video showing off her large child, as the Detroit Lions commented on the post.

You might think the devil works hard, but the Lions’ recruiting team works harder, commenting:

“Dibs.”

Recruiting a six-month-old is crazy work. But, in all fairness, this kid looks like he will grow up to be a Hall of Fame offensive tackle.

In her response video, the mother hilariously notes that they are locked in if they can give her son a few years.

@madisonpeltzer Replying to @Detroit Lions give us a few years & we’re there 🫡 #detroitlions #chunky #baby #fypシ゚viral #firsttimemom #momsoftiktok #mom ♬ Moto moto meme from yuh boi grandmascoochie – gcoochie

While there are hundreds of viral videos on this app, this has to be one of the best viral moments as of late. And, of course, it happens right before the app is about to be taken away from us. I don’t know if this is the perfect way to end the era of TikTok (if the ban goes through), or if it’s also the worst thing to happen.

How will I know if the Lions invite this child and his family to a game? Will other NFL teams catch on to the Lions’ early recruiting tactics and begin to chime in, too? Regardless, this is one of the best comments left on this app, and if it does get banned…what a way to go out.

While you’re here, read a few of our favorite comments from the two videos.

“LIONS JUST COMMENTING ON EVERY CHUNKY BABY.”

“I’d frame that for proof. No take-backsies!”

“Starting O-Line in 2045.”

“That’s in writing. That’s a contract, lol.”

“I’d save this video and then show them as soon as he turns 18 .”

“What am I gonna do without TikTok? Lions Social Media is life. Lol.”

“This is definitely a breastfed baby.”

“Getting drafted by the Lions at 6 months old is crazy work.”

“The Lions calling dibs is hilarious.”

“Ma’am…. Let that man go he has to be at work by 8:30.”

“Lil homie is as big as you!”

“BABES HOW BIG WAS HE WHEN HE WAS BORN.”
