So, did we all witness the same thing?

We just watched a vocal group with no business winning seven years in a row beating out the Red Clay Strays. Seriously… what dirt does Old Dominion have on the CMAs? What are they hiding? Did they witness a murder? Do they have possession of Epstein’s client list? How is this even possible…

For years now, we’ve known that the CMA Awards are never going to champion the underdog and the show’s winners play into the Nashville game, but we need to have a sit down with the Country Music Association because what the f**k was that pick.

I doubt that the CMA voters even listened to Red Clay Strays before casting because there was an obvious winner, and they disappointed fans with their pick.

The Mobile, Alabama group has shaken up the scene with its soulful Americana sound. Frontman Brandon Coleman has captured fans’ attention with his unparalleled vocal range and songwriting.

Given that The Strays released their debut record, Moment of Truth, in 2022 and their sophomore album, Made by These Moments, in July of this year, the group has made significant waves in the short time they’ve been in the limelight. To put it plain and simple, the Red Clay Strays are damn good.

Given there are so many underdog vocal groups like Silverada, Flatland Cavalry, 49 Winchester, Turnpike Troubadours, or Whiskey Myers, to name a few, fans were thrilled to see someone non-mainstream in the list of nominees this year. In fact, many were confident that the Red Clay Strays would pull it off and take home the Best Vocal Group of the Year award.

But once again, CMA let us down and chose Old Dominion as the winner. Social media is PISSED. Rightfully so, because so are we. This is what a true snub looks like.

Grab your pitchforks… we will riot for this one.
