“Look At Those Arms!” — Phillies Announcers Wowed By Riley Green, Who Was Hitting Bombs During BP

I think I like baseball now…

On Saturday evening, Riley Green played a show at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, after their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

After claiming an impressive 12-1 victory against the Diamondbacks, Riley performed an on-field postgame concert that I’m sure was even more fun after such a huge win for the home team.

But possibly the most entertaining part of the whole event wasn’t what was happening on the field, but in the broadcast booth.

The live broadcast showed Riley doing some batting practice earlier in the day, and the Alabama native has certainly still got it when it comes to some of his high school baseball skills. Of course, he was the starting quarterback for Jacksonville State University from 2007 to 2009 after walking on, but he was seemingly a helluva baseball player too.

Below, you can also see him pictured with Phillies All-Star Bryce Harper:

And obviously, Riley is very popular among the ladies (for obvious reasons), but it seems that the broadcast announcers were quite taken with him too, commenting on his physique, muscular arms and impressive swing while showing him hit a few balls up into the stands.

Quite honestly, I’m not a huge baseball fan and would never dream of missing a football game on Saturday or Sunday in the fall, but if every baseball game was like this… yeah, I think I could get into it.

These guys just get it and I feel so seen:

“Take a look at some of these swings. He’s a big dude… look at those arms! That would have been a double play, but that one went out. Over the Asplundh sing. He hit one off the State Farm sign in left center field. Nice swing.”

Pretty easy on the eyes for a Monday… just do yourself a favor and watch it here:

In terms of music, Riley recently teamed up with Ella Langley for a classic country-style duet, “You Look Like You Love Me,” that’s a big ‘ol hit in my humble opinion so definitely check that out while you’re here too:
