Nothing short of dominant.

Though Ella Langley has been nothing short of dominant the past year, it’s hard to imagine an artist having a better five-year stretch than Morgan Wallen has had lately. Riding the highs of his fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, the Tennessee native broke all sorts of records in 2025.

In addition to dethroning Garth Brooks and becoming the highest-selling country artist of all time (4th all-genre), Wallen also scored the most-listened-to album on Apple Music globally, the #1 most-listened-to album in the U.S. on Spotify and became the second male country artist in history to be named Billboard’s Top Artist of the Year.

Couple all of those accomplishments with a constant presence on nearly each and every chart imaginable — country and beyond — selling out stadiums at every stop on his recent One Night At A Time, I’m The Problem and Still The Problem tours over the past few years and seemingly never delivering enough music for fans despite releasing 30+ song-albums every outing, there’s simply no signs of slowing down the Tennessee native.

There’s no denying that, before Langley came along and began smashing chart records with “Choosin’ Texas,” Wallen stood alone as the most commercially successful artist in country music we’ve seen in decades that simultaneously had the most crossover appeal beyond the genre. Of course, this was thanks to his insane history on charts such as the Billboard 100 and 200, with four all-genre #1 singles, twenty Top 10 hits and three #1 albums over the past half-decade.

On Friday, his first solo release of 2026, “Been By Now,” officially rose to #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, garnering 33.5 million audience impressions across the country from October 23rd to October 29. In turn, it’s Wallen’s 23rd career chart-topper on Billboard’s radio-focused chart.

With the track, which peaked at #2 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, going #1, Wallen set not one but two unique records on Country Airplay.

Most notably, “Been By Now” is Wallen’s fourth song of the year to top the chart, joining “20 Cigarettes,” “Don’t We” and “I Can’t Love You Anymore. Given that this comes on the heels of Wallen scoring four unique #1s in 2025 and an additional five unique #1s in 2024, the Tennessee native is now the first country artist in history to collect four or more chart-toppers in three straight years. In fact, he’s one of only four artists in history to notch four or more in a single year, joining himself once again, Ella Langley, Luke Combs and Shania Twain.

In case that wasn’t enough, Wallen is now the fastest artist in history to score 23 #1s on Country Airplay. Taking just eight years, he beat out Luke Bryan, who took nearly 10 years. Additionally, Wallen already has the eighth-most #1s in the chart’s 36-year history, only behind the likes of Kenny Chesney (34), Blake Shelton (30), Tim McGraw (29), Jason Aldean (27), Luke Bryan (26), Alan Jackson (26) and George Strait (26).
