Jacksonville Jaguars Get Fans Talking With “God Is Good… All The Time” Post

There may be separation of church and state, but judging by this latest post from the Jacksonville Jaguars, it doesn’t appear there’s a separation of church and the NFL.

Believe it or not, we’re only six weeks away from the return of the NFL. Soon, footballs will be flying, bets will be placed, and games will be decided by the one player on the team who actually uses their foot. Training camps are ramping up all across the country, fantasy football teams are band fanbases are full of hope… thus are ready to be disappointed once the games actually start.

While many NFL teams are busy sharing videos of some of their stars in action (or accidentally embarrassing their franchise QB), the Jacksonville Jaguars decided to go down a different route. This morning, they sent out a post that didn’t include a photo or a video, and didn’t even mention training camp, or the upcoming season.

Instead, they sent out something praising the Lord:

“God is Good… All the time.”

Okay, Jacksonville Jaguars.

Unexpected? You bet. Sort of odd? You could say that. But is there anything wrong with offering a bit of praise to the Lord on a Wednesday morning? Not in my opinion… you love to see it. And based on how many social media users have been responding to the six word post from the Jags, a lot of others out there agree:

Obviously, there were also plenty of jokes about how much the Jaguars franchise has struggled over the years, as well as plenty of Urban Meyer jokes. Now, coming off a season where Trevor Lawrence and them boys boasted a record of 13-4 and went on an 8-game winning streak, it appears the Jacksonville team is ready and open to praising the heavens.

No one really knows why the NFL team put out the message.

This all could have something to do with Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach, Liam Coen, being on the Built 4 More podcast with Pastor Joby Martin (a Jacksonville area pastor) and Denny Thompson. The Jags admin may have seen that the franchise’s leader was on a podcast talking about his faith, and decided to put a “God is Good” message out there. Of course, Trevor Lawrence and a number of other players are Christians, but generally, players, coaches, and their religious beliefs are not intertwined with the social media team.
