“Maybe I’ll Release This One Before The Boats Get Winterized”: Morgan Wallen Teases New Unreleased Song Is Coming Soon

Morgan Wallen

Coming soon?

Though Ella Langley has been nothing short of dominant the past year, it’s hard to imagine an artist having a better five-year stretch than Morgan Wallen has had lately. Riding the highs of his fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, the Tennessee native broke all sorts of records in 2025.

In addition to dethroning Garth Brooks and becoming the highest-selling country artist of all time (3rd all-genre), Wallen also scored the most-listened-to album on Apple Music globally, the #1 most-listened-to album in the U.S. on Spotify and became the second male country artist in history to be named Billboard’s Top Artist of the Year.

2026 has been yet another huge year for the “Whiskey Glasses” singer as he’s currently on his massive Still The Problem Tour. Couple that with the debut of his very own radio station on SiriusXM and breaking the internet by teaming up with Ella Langley on “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” which is currently sitting at #4 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, there’s a lot to look forward to once again if you’re a fan of the “Whiskey Glasses” singer.

Despite the year being another massive success, the question that has been on everyone’s mind lately is, “When is he dropping new music?” Of course, he did release a studio cut of his cover of “Graveyard Whistling” in October of last year, which fans thought could potentially be part of a deluxe edition of I’m The Problem, but that hasn’t proven to be the case — at least not yet.

Back in April, Wallen would confirm that he’s sitting on “seven or eight” singles and that he’s ready to start dropping “little sneak peeks.” As it turns out, that first sneak peek came back in June during the weekend of CMA Fest in Nashville when he dropped a teaser for a brand new track, presumably titled, “Been By Now.”

“No we don’t even fight like we used to
We don’t even care enough to cry no more
It’s been a hundred nights since I knew you
How long we gonna keep looking at that door?

If it was meant to be, we’d have been by now
We wouldn’t have to keep trying to work things out
Yeah baby we’re a freeze when the lights go down
It wouldn’t be so hard when we ain’t in the dark
If we were in the stars they’d have lined right up
Yeah maybe from the start we’ve been trying too much
I know you wanna think that it’s what we found
But if it was meant to be be we’d have been by now
Been by now”

After the initial post in June, he’s teased the track multiple times, teasing an additional verse before his show at Soldier Field in Chicago. Notably, a presave link would appear shortly after the show, with the link simply reading “Be the first to hear new music from Morgan Wallen.”

Morgan Pre Save 1

Since the presave link was added, Wallen’s been pretty quiet in terms of the new track. That all changed last night, however.

Yesterday evening, the “Don’t We” singer took to Instagram to post a raw, piano-backed version of the song, complete with the same chorus present in the initial teaser. Most excitingly for his fans, he’d hint that the song is coming incredibly soon, joking that he’ll maybe release it “before the boats get winterized.”

“Maybe I’ll release this one before the boats get winterized this time.”

Unsurprisingly, fans in the comment section collectively lost their minds, begging the 33-year-old singer/songwriter to release the track ASAP.

“RELEASE IT”

“IVE WAITED ALL SUMMER”

“Need this NOW!

I need this version injected into my bloodstream”

“Drop it now!!!”

“PLEASE IM OBSESSED AND NEED IT!!”

Unfortunately for fans, Wallen has yet to give an official release date for the song. With that being said, between the pop-heavy, summer vibe of the song and yesterday’s post, it looks like it will be coming VERY soon.
