Country Thunder Wisconsin is already one of the premiere country music festivals in the world, and they just made the weekend that much better by adding a bull riding event to the schedule.
North America’s largest country music festival brand has something exciting in store for Twin Lakes, Wisconsin when Country Thunder comes to town July 16 through July 19. The event has been likened to a “summer camp for country fans” in the past, and the headliners and supporting acts for the festival this year are definitely worthy of being called a treat of a retreat.
Gavin Adcock, The Red Clay Strays, Riley Green and Keith Urban will all headline the four-day event. And the supporting acts are just as strong. Gretchen Wilson, Ian Munsick, Nate Smith, Shaboozey, Mark Chesnutt, George Birge and Corey Kent (along with plenty of other talented artists) will also take the stage at the Shadow Hill Ranch.
And that’s not the only entertainment that will be offered during the weekend.
Country Thunder Wisconsin has excitedly announced a partnership with Big Hat Rodeo – who have produced rodeos in the region for over 100 years – to bring Buckin’ Thunder Pro Bull Riding into the fold for the festival. Festival goers will not only get to see some of their favorite artists during the weekend, but they’ll also be able see some of the best professional cowboys compete for prize money Friday through Sunday.
In other words, Country Thunder Wisconsin is your one-stop-shop for country music and show stopping, sanctioned bull riding. Troy Vollhoffer, the CEO and President of Country Thunder, couldn’t be more excited to add action-packed bull riding to the festival:
“It’s exactly the kind of high-energy experience our fans have come to expect from Country Thunder, and we’re thrilled to partner with Big Hat Rodeo to make it happen.”
It’s really no surprise that the Country Thunder brand continues to deliver on all fronts, considering it’s become the premiere festival producer both in the United States and across the world. Their track record speaks for itself, and their strong history of sold out festivals shows that there’s not much that compares when it comes to being the top-tier, global live music brand for country music.
And I mean… what other country music festival recognizes the crossroads of country and rodeo and puts on a bull riding event during the weekend’s proceedings? Lenora Calzavara, owner of Big Hat Rodeo Company, might have said it best:
“Country Thunder is a giant entertainment staple in the Midwest, and bull riding is as Country as it gets.”
Amen to that.
