Good grief…

A controversial livestreamer who was arrested over the weekend in Nashville has apparently been involved in a shooting in nearby Clarksville, Tennessee.

Dalton Eatherly is a 28-year old streamer from Clarksville who goes by “Chud the Builder,” and has built up a large following for his livestreams where he attempts to rage bait people in Nashville by using racial slurs and anti-Semitic language to provoke a reaction.

Several of his interactions have gone viral recently, with Eatherly claiming that he’s promoting freedom of speech as he threatens people with bear spray when they get angry.

In one viral interaction, Eatherly argued with an older white man outside of popular Broadway bar Honky Tonk Central who took issue with his use of racial slurs, and in another he directed a racial slur at a security guard outside of Barstool Nashville after being denied entry into the bar.

(Even far-right streamer Nick Fuentes, known for his use of racially charged language himself, has denounced Chud the Builder as “not nice” and “unethical,” if that tells you anything about his content).

Well over the weekend, Eatherly was arrested in Nashville for refusing to pay his bill at a restaurant after getting kicked out. But now, things seem to have escalated even further.

Eatherly was reportedly involved in a shooting this afternoon outside of the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, and while details are still coming out, it appears that both Eatherly and another man were injured in the altercation.

According to a clip from his livestream, Eatherly tells police that he approached a group that was pointing at him outside the courthouse. He says after walking away a man then approached him and threatened him, and then started “wailing” on him, which is when Eatherly pulled his weapon and fired shots.

First responders can be heard describing Eatherly’s injuries as a “graze” to his arm, as well as a “slight abrasion” to his head, and photos and video from the scene shows him being loaded into an ambulance. At one point Eatherly asks whether he shot himself, or whether the bullet simply grazed his arm.

Eatherly was taken to the hospital, and online reports say he’s currently in custody, though that hasn’t been confirmed.

The condition of the other man isn’t known at this time, though it’s been reported that he was life-flighted to the hospital.

The incident is just the latest in what’s becoming a string of troubles for Eatherly, who was booked into the Davidson County Jail following the incident in Nashville over the weekend and charged with theft of services, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.

At the time of the arrest, he was already facing charges in Montgomery County for harassment from 2025. He was currently out on bond for those charges, which were recently bound over to the grand jury, meaning the district attorney (or the bonding company) could ask that his bond be revoked now that he’s picked up new charges – and may have more coming.

What a winner this guy is…let’s just hope that everybody involved is alright.
