Wynonna Judd has truly done it all.
The Kentucky native is, of course, an icon in her own right for the history she’s made throughout her 40+ year and counting career in country music. Aside from staying relevant for a significant amount of time, proving that she’s a legend in the genre, she’s also made history being a part of the mother/daughter country duo The Judds, who solidified themselves as one of the most successful duos in history, scoring 14 #1 hits, five Grammy Awards, and have over 20 million albums sold.
In her solo career, Wynonna continued to make history, with her self-titled record becoming the fastest-selling country album, yielding three consecutive #1 hits. Wynonna has made waves in the studio, on the charts and on stage. But Wynonna has also done some rockstar sh** in the wild as well.
Wynonna’s answer was not at all what I was expecting, and she shared that the most rockstar thing she’s done occurred in the White House.
“I laid down in one of the beds in the White House. I’ve done everything. Seriously… I looked through the drawers.”
Bunnie Xo naturally followed up with a question I am sure everyone was thinking. What did she find snooping around in the drawers of a White House room? Unfortunately, Wynonna revealed she did not find any classified documents or shocking items.
“Nothing. Who wants to be there? Nobody.”
I guess it’s for show more than anything, eh?
Bunnie Xo then asked Wynonna the opposite of her rockstar question, asking her to reveal something she enjoys doing that folks might be surprised to hear from her. Wynonna shared with the podcast host and audience that she
“I waste time sitting still by the water, and I do nothing… It’s therapy for me.
I started, and this is not religion. It’s a relationship. I started reading the Bible again because I want to get off TikTok. I’m trying really hard to detach myself from social media.”
I relate to Wynonna when it comes to sitting by the water and doing nothing. There is nothing more peaceful than sitting by the water and enjoying the nature around you without any distractions. And I am sure Wynonna’s statement about wanting to detach more from social media is something many Americans can relate to. Social media is beyond addictive, and it’s so easy to find yourself doom-scrolling for hours on end.
As for Wynonna’s wild White House story… I’m not sure many politicians can say that they’ve done the same. I bet the United States Secret Service heard this story in shock.
