Aaron Rodgers returned to The Pat McAfee Show… and he had some things to get off his chest.
It’s been a while since the NFL legend has been on Pat McAfee’s progrum. But Rodgers finally had some availability and was happy to talk with his friends in the media, and fielded questions about whether or not he’ll be returning to the NFL next season. Many assumed the 42-year-old would once again be suiting up for the Pittsburgh Steelers since his former coach, Mike McCarthy, landed the head coaching job there following the departure of Mike Tomlin.
Rodgers disclosed that he’s still a free agent, and hasn’t had a lot of time to really think about all of that, because he’s been hanging out with his wife.
Pat McAfee then decided to do what many in sports media wish they could do: Ask Aaron Rodgers about his wife, who is still an unknown figure and has yet to be seen. The quarterback got married shortly before June of 2025, and ever since that news broke, he’s kept his love life under wraps.
That’s respectable, but the way he’s gone about it has inadvertently ramped up media interest that much more. And now, Rodgers says it’s gotten to the point where he’s actually had to move because of issues with stalkers and paparazzi:
“The obsession is f***ing bizarre. That’s the only way to put it. The obsession is really bizarre. We’re not living on the beach anymore. Part of it is I have legitimate stalkers. I don’t say that lightly or flippantly. I’ve been getting stalked at my house for about a year and a half, when I was living there.
Not just that, but stalked at the coffee shop I would frequent, the gym that I would go to, which was really bizarre. The paparazzi was stalking me for a long time, flying drones over my house. I learned they had or has had a bounty on getting a picture of my wife.”
Rodgers went on to say that he met his wife in 2017, and the current NFL free agent described her as “not a public person,” and that she never wished to be a football player’s wife. He also shared that she was living across the pond at one point before they got married… and that’s basically all we know about her (other than when she got married to Aaron Rodgers).
The former Super Bowl winning QB is fed up with the excessive interest and stalking, and says that the media frenzy has affected he and his wife’s personal safety:
“I understand the attention that comes with being somebody that’s accomplished what I’ve accomplished. In no way am I making this a woe is me, but when it comes to your personal safety, and now it’s not just me – it’s me and her. It’s really f***ing bizarre… I never really wanted to live a public life.”
Definitely sounds like a lot for Aaron Rodgers to handle.
He wishes to live a life where he can go to work, clock in and clock out, and then go home and have his personal life be separate. That’s something that used to be attainable… but now in the modern day, living a life like that takes a whole lot of work. In the social media age, everyone wants to know everything right now… and that includes people wanting to know who Rodgers is married to.
With everything that has been going on in Aaron’s life, it sounds like he’s still managing to keep the identity of his wife a secret (which sounds like more of a wish that she has).
