Maybe Jaxson Dart should have sat this one out.
Despite a lackluster season record-wise, New York Giants fans are excited about their future. That’s mostly thanks to their young core of wide receiver Malik Nabers, running back Cam Skattebo, and quarterback Jaxson Dart. The trio could truly be an unstoppable force.
But in their first year together, they were all stopped by injuries.
Nabers and Skattebo both suffered season-ending injuries at some point during the Giants 2025 campaign. The only player that made it to the end of the year healthy (?) was Dart. That being said, many analysts and others who know ball are concerned with the quarterbacks durability and well being… mainly because he seemed to always be headed towards the blue tent on the sideline to get checked for a concussion.
At one point in the NFL season, Dart had been evaluated for a concussion in 50% of the games he had played in. During Week 10, he was actually ruled out because of a head injury, and missed two games as he recovered. There’s no doubt that he’s a talented player that could have great success for many years to come, but he has to figure out how to avoid concussions.
That’s why many Giants fans didn’t love that he seemingly put himself in harm’s way riding a mechanical bull in Oxford, Mississippi over the weekend.
Dart played college football at Ole Miss, so it’s not exactly out of the norm to see him back in his old college town. And that wasn’t what New York Giants fans had a problem with. Instead, they saw the video of their franchise quarterback on mechanical-bull-back and started praying that he’d make it out of Oxford okay:

Looks to me like a 22-year-old letting loose and having a little fun.
While many responded to the video with “what a king” and “that’s my QB,” others expressed concern for the New York Giants quarterback… who had trouble staying on the field during his rookie season because of all of his injuries and concussions:
“The Giants having a panic attack watching this.”
“I’m sure Harbaugh loved seeing this.”
“Nope… I don’t like that.”
“His agent must be freaking out given his high risk of injury.”
“That ceiling fan is way too close.”
“Please don’t get hurt.”
“Okay, he needs a trusted guardian from now on. ENOUGH!”
“Something in his contract has to not allow that?”
“He better not hurt that arm.”
“Bros gonna have to go to the blue tent after this.”
It’s tough for NFL stars to have fun and let loose in the age of everyone carrying around a video camera in their pocket. However, if you are already being labeled as injury-prone one year into your NFL career… maybe you should skip out on the mechanical bull.
