Are legendary New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend rooting for the Seahawks tonight?
Ahead of Super Bowl LX this evening, which will feature the Patriots taking on the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the former Patriots coach’s girlfriend was spotted wearing a t-shirt that took a not-so-subtle jab at Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his arrest for prostitution a few years ago.
Belichick has had a frosty relationship with his former time since he was fired by the Patriots following the 2023 season, after the team’s second consecutive losing season and second straight season missing the playoffs. It was the only time during his 23 years in Foxborough that the team had two losing seasons in a row, and the team hadn’t been to the Super Bowl since 2018 – the longest stretch of his career with the Patriots without making the big game.
Of course the departure of quarterback Tom Brady no doubt had a lot to do with his falloff, and it was announced that Belichick and the team had “mutually agreed” to part ways, but it’s pretty clear that the coach wasn’t happy with the way he was let go after such an incredible career.
Those hard feelings even spilled over into his new gig, as Belichick confirmed this past season that scouts from the New England Patriots are not welcome at UNC while claiming that it was because he’s not welcome at their facility:
“It’s clear that I’m not welcome there around their facility, so they’re not welcome in ours. Pretty simple.”
Now, I’m not entirely sure why Belichick says he’s not welcome at Patriots facilities. After he was fired, owner Robert Kraft invited Belichick to speak at Tom Brady’s induction into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame, where he was seated at a table directly next to the owner. And Kraft confirmed that he planned to erect a Bill Belichick statue outside of Gillette Stadium once the coach’s career is over.
Kraft and Belichick even appeared together at the Netflix roast of Tom Brady a couple years ago, though at the time there were reports of tension between the two backstage.
And it appears that the relationship between the former coach and current team owner hasn’t improved any since then.
Last night, 73-year-old Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson were spotted together at the UNC basketball game as the Tar Heels took down the Duke Blue Devils. But it was Hudson’s shirt that got most of the attention.
The former college cheerleader was sporting a shirt from the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Florida, which is of course the massage parlor where Kraft was charged for soliciting prostitution back in 2019. The NFL owner was one of 25 people who was arrested and charged with misdemeanor soliciting charges after a bust at the spa, though the charges were later thrown out after a court found that his constitutional rights were violated by the government installing cameras inside the building.
While Belichick hasn’t said much about his former team appearing in the Super Bowl this year, Patriots fans are already upset after legendary QB Tom Brady said earlier this week that he “doesn’t have a dog in the fight” this year, declining to cheer for the team that he led to six Super Bowls.
I think it’s safe to say that Belichick – or at least his girlfriend – won’t be rooting for them tonight either.
