So she’s not dating Kid Rock?
Earlier this year there were rumors that Congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado had something going on with Kid Rock after the two were spotted leaving President Donald Trump’s inauguration party together in the early morning hours.
After the rumors of a potential relationship with Kid Rock started swirling, neither party really confirmed nor denied it, other than Boebert joking that her mom kept asking her for Kid Rock tickets now:
“We had a great time at the Turning Point gala, I had a lot of good friends there…
Here’s the deal, y’all with all of your stories, mom won’t stop asking for concert tickets, so that’s the problem I’m facing now.”
We haven’t really heard anything else since then about the two and their potential relationship, but it seems Boebert has moved on to a new man – and apparently he’s even willing to dress up in a couple’s costume with her for Halloween.
It’s that Halloween costume that has the elected official in hot water, after photos went viral showing Boebert dressed as a Mexican, wearing a sombrero and holding a sign with a joke on it:
“Mexican word of the day: Juicy. Tell me if Juicy ICE coming.”
Meanwhile her boyfriend Kyle Pearcy, a Colorado real estate broker, appears to be dressed as an ICE agent.
Well as you can imagine, the costume’s got people fired up.
Immediately after the photos were posted, some took to social media to blast Boebert for her “racist” stunt.
Her opponent in the 2026 election, Trisha Calvarese, also issued a statement condemning Boebert’s costume:
“Lauren Boebert put more effort into a hateful Halloween party costume than she ever has into serving the people of Colorado’s 4th Congressional District.”
Meanwhile the Colorado Democratic Latino Caucus co-chair, state senator Julie Gonzales, called on Boebert to apologize:
“The Latino Caucus was made aware of the photo on Saturday and members were outraged. We immediately began conversations within our caucus of how we wanted to respond…
Congresswoman Boebert chose to mock our community, co-opt our culture, and make a sick joke while immigrant Coloradans with lawful immigration status in her own district, such as fifth-grade teacher Marina Ortiz, are being detained by ICE after doing everything that has been asked of them.”
Congresswoman Boebert, though, is standing by the costume and telling people to lighten up:
“It’s a Halloween costume. Tell our Senators to vote for the CR and open the government. They are choosing to let millions of American families suffer.”
Of course it’s not the first time Boebert has found herself in hot water. Back in 2023, the congresswoman was removed from a theater during a performance of Beetlejuice (which isn’t relevant to the story but just makes it funnier) after reportedly vaping in the theater and getting a little too handsy during the show, with surveillance video showing the two groping each other before ultimately being asked to leave.
The incident went insanely viral on social media, with many mocking Boebert for getting her rocks off during a performance of Beetlejuice, of all things.
Boebert has been in Congress since first being elected in 2020, having served two terms representing Colorado’s 3rd Congressional district before switching to the state’s 4th district in 2024. She defeated Calvarese in 2024 by a 53-42% margin, and has been one of President Donald Trump’s strongest supporters in the House of Representatives.
