“Do Us All A Favor & Get The F Out” – Jason Aldean Goes Scorched Earth On Division & Hatred In America, Those Who Celebrated Charlie Kirk’s Murder

Jason Aldean

These days, there’s no denying that the country seems more divided than ever. With political violence becoming more and more commonplace, highlighted primarily by the assassination of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk last month, there’s been a growing amount of fear that we’re in danger of falling into a time filled with unrest and further bloodshed.

Following Kirk’s murder, a plethora of country stars such as Eric Church, Parker McCollum, Cody Johnson, ERNEST, HARDY, Treaty Oak Revival, Wyatt Flores, Aaron Watson, Randy Houser and more took the time both on social media and at their shows to not only mourn the loss of the conservative commentator but also call for peace in the country.

Now that we sit nearly a month removed from the tragic event, Jason Aldean, who is undoubtedly the most outspoken conservative in the entire genre, took the time over the weekend to reflect on the state of the country at his recent show in West Palm Beach, Florida.

After opening the show with a tribute to Kirk which displayed photos of him and his family, Aldean went on to deliver hits such as “Fly Over States,” Big Green Tractor,” “Night Train” and the newly-released, “How Far Does a Goodbye Go.” Towards the second half of the Florida show, the Georgia native would prelude the performance of his controversial 2023 all-genre #1 hit, “Try That In a Small Town” with a poignant message about the aftermath of the past month.

“Probably like a lot of you guys, this last month has been kind of crazy. It’s kind of been a s***** month, with the death of Mr. Charlie Kirk amongst other things… It’s just every time I think sh*t can’t get any weirder, it get’s weirder and more crazy. I don’t know.

But it’s a wild time, man. What I’ve come to realize is that I just hate that people suck, you know what I’m saying? What I like is to surround myself with people that are cool. I don’t give a s*** what color you are, what car you drive, what kind of house you live in, how much money you make. I don’t give a f***.

What I do care about is that you’re a good person, and most people in this country good people. We got a couple groups that are pretty s****, but other than that, I think, for the most part, people here in our country are amazing. And we all know that we live in the greatest country in the entire world. That’s why everybody wants to be here.”

Aldean would then shine a light on the fact that Kirk was killed for holding beliefs that he himself believes in, noting just how scary it is before insisting that everyone loves each other despite their differences.

“I don’t know. It’s just a weird time when a guy like Charlie Kirk, somebody who stood for all the things that I believe in, a Christian, conservative, amazing person, amazing father, amazing husband. You take a guy like that out just because you don’t agree with the way he thinks. That is the craziest s*** I’ve ever seen in my life.

So, I just ask everybody, man. You guys be cool to each other. Everybody love each other. Be cool. Help people out. Let’s get back to the way it used to be back in the day when our country was on track.”

Following the call to love each other, the “She’s Country” singer would go on to issue a strong warning to those who keep opposing President Trump’s continued crackdown on illegal immigration and crime here in the country. Bluntly, he’d tell anyone who can’t follow the law to “get the f**** out” before once again proclaiming we live in the greatest country in the world.

“And anybody that wants to b**** about the way we do things here, whether that be not coming into our country legally or not abiding by the laws that make our country the best, do us all a favor and get the f*** out and go somewhere else is all I’m trying to say.

Because I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve had about enough of this s***. It’s been going on for way too long. These days, everybody gets their feelings hurt about something, and it’s just the craziest thing. And now they get their feelings hurt and they come and they just start wanting to kill people. It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. We live in the greatest country in the world. We got the best president we’ve ever had. I feel like he’s trying to get it back on track.”

Finally, Aldean would touch on the controversial nature of “Try That In a Small Town,” noting that the track is and always was about members of small towns coming together to live in peace. Not mincing his words, he’d also call people who purposefully misinterpreted the song (and its controversial music video) as being part of the problem.

“When we released this song a few years ago, a lot of people tried to make this thing about something that it wasn’t. And what this song was about was exactly what I’m saying. It’s about us wanting to live in peace, send our kids to school in peace. Know that they’re gonna come home safe every day. So everybody trying to make this thing about something that it wasn’t, but that’s exactly what it was about. And if you didn’t get the message, then I don’t know what to tell you. You might be the problem.”

As we all know by now, Aldean has never been one to not speak his mind about the current state of the country. You can say whatever you want about him, both musically and politically, but you can never take away the fact that he’s never been afraid to stand up for what he believes in.
