On streaming platforms everywhere.

Today, Megan Moroney released her cover of Toby Keith’sWho’s Your Daddy?”, which was previously part of the Apple Music Sessions exclusive project that featured Toby Keith covers from other artists like Ella Langley and Riley Green.

Of course, “Who’s Your Daddy?” was written solely by Keith and released in 2002 as the second single from his Unleashed album. It became a huge hit, peaking at the number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks, becoming his sixth consecutive single to top the chart. It also became a minor crossover hit when it peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Megan has performed it some here and there onstage, in addition to sharing a few clips of her singing the song on social media, and it’s gotten a huge fan response so I’m sure everyone will be glad that they can listen to it now no matter what streaming platform they prefer to use.

It’s a Toby Keith classic that tells a pretty simple story about a young woman and her sugar daddy. It captures that Keith humor so perfectly, and he once said it was “everything that I ever wanted to put into a song”:

“It’s everything that I ever wanted to put into a song. It’s got the groove, it’s got the attitude, it’s humorous, it’s about a sugar daddy. And it’s got a real funny little Elvis thing in it, like Viva Las Vegas … it’s got a New Orleans piano in it.”

I love hearing Moroney’s spin on it, and I’ll certainly have it on repeat for the foreseeable future:

Speaking of Megan, she has actually been teasing new music here and there over the last several months, and fans have been speculating that she might be announcing a new album sometime soon. She released her most recent record Am I Okay? last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she has something in the works coming out in 2026.

Unreleased songs like “Wedding Dress” and “Beautiful Things” have already gotten a lot of attention on social media, and earlier this week, Megan released a performance video of “Beautiful Things” from a recent show, where she debuted it live in full for the first time.

She actually got a little bit choked up while singing it, because it’s an extremely personal song Megan wrote for her niece about how hard the world can be on innocent, beautiful things like her. I think it’s a great and very meaningful message, and I’m looking forward to hearing the studio cut hopefully sooner rather than later:
