Live from the South… and everywhere else in the country.
This morning, Ernest announced his Live From The South Tour that will kick off in Denver, Colorado at Mission Ballroom and run through April ending in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He will bring along Chandler Walters, Cody Lohden and Rhys Rutherford as openers, and Ernest says this tour is all about sharing the musical influences that he cultivated by growing up in the South with people all over the country:
“I’m so excited for this chapter. The Live From The South Tour is gonna be a night full of sounds from the South. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and a lover of the southland… even further south where I find so much inspiration in the Virgin Islands.
This tour is gonna be so much fun playing some new music mixed with some of my favorites and getting to share the stage with my ARTISTS on DeVille Records. So proud of them and ready to see the fellas rocking.”
Of course, you have probably heard Ernest’s name in association with country music star Morgan Wallen, as Ernest has penned hits for him like “You Proof,” “Wasted on You,” “Heartless” (for Diplo featuring Wallen), “More Than My Hometown,” “Somebody’s Problem” and more.
While Ernest does pull from all sorts of genres, he has more recently been putting out music that honors the more traditional side of country music and the greats who made Nashville what it is today.
His most recent album Nashville, Tennessee is a perfect example of that, and in addition to writing and releasing his own music as a solo artist, Ernest launched his DeVille Records label earlier this year, and he’s also been out on tour opening for Lainey Wilson this fall.
Public on-sale for Live From The South Tour begins this Friday, and he has a pretty extensive list of cities he’ll be coming to, so make sure you check him out if he’s anywhere close by and you enjoy good old fashioned country music.
