AI is getting scarier and scarier by the day.
Artificial intelligence has become increasingly prevalent in recent years, with people utilizing it to create memes, refine emails, and even generate grocery shopping lists. While there are several beneficial reasons to implement AI into your life (grocery lists are a game-changer for folks like me who never leave the store with items I actually need), there are also several concerning aspects that have emerged from AI.
News outlets that generate AI stories, such as those featuring Reba and Dolly Parton performing at Anne Burrell’s funeral or the Astronomer CEO responding to his cheating scandal with Coldplay lyrics, are creating false narratives that are remarkably believable. The bylines creating fake stories are one thing, but AI’s ability to develop deepfake images or videos that are highly believable is also terrifying.
On today’s episode of AI bamboozling the internet, a viral outdoors video has taken the internet by storm- a viral video of bunnies jumping on a trampoline shows how hard it is to differentiate real life from AI.
A TikTok creator, @rachelthecatlovers, posted a video of a fluffle of bunnies (yes, that’s what a group of bunnies is called), near her trampoline. The creator claimed that it was captured by her Ring Doorbell, showing a few bunnies on the ground and a few that had hopped up onto the outdoor toy. After a few moments, some of the bunnies begin jumping on the trampoline.
The footage garnered over 180 million views. Yes, 180 MILLION views on TikTok in less than a week.
The video is so wholesome, and so many people quickly filled up the comments with how rare it was that this moment was captured on film. So cute, right? Until you see that one bunny morphs into another, revealing that the video is AI-generated.
@rachelthecatlovers Just checked the home security cam and… I think we’ve got guest performers out back! @Ring #bunny #ringdoorbell #ring #bunnies #trampoline ♬ Bounce When She Walk – Ohboyprince
I was a victim of this video, and this TikTok highlights the level of embarrassment I felt when I realized it was not real Ring Doorbell footage:

This is not the first time that AI has taken the internet by storm. Another TikTok creator has created a series of animals that her dog brings to the front door. While some of the videos are easily debunked as AI-generated, such as the one of a dog bringing home a zebra, other variations of the series have left the internet believing they’re true.
A prime example is her dog bringing home a bear cub, which currently has over 7 million views. The video is scarily realistic as the cub mimics the dog and sits at the front door, waiting to be let in. Honestly, it took me quite a few viewings of the video and reading some comments before I realized this footage was created with AI.
This comment highlights exactly how I feel about how realistic AI is getting:
“I am so getting scammed when I’m older.”

AI is becoming increasingly alarming by the day… Stay vigilant out there, folks.
