HUGE news from Charles Wesley Godwin.

This afternoon, the West Virginia native announced that he will make his headlining debut at the legenedary venue Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado this fall. Of course, Red Rocks is a bucket list place to play and headline for so many artists because of it’s unique look and stunning views, not just in country music, so it’s going to be a big night for CWG in company.

The show will take place this fall, on October 15th, and he will bring along Ole 60 and The Castellows as his openers. Charles says it’s been something his dreamt of his entire career, so it will be a milestone night and very special moment for all involved:

“Headlining Red Rocks is something I’ve been dreaming of my entire career, and I’m thrilled to have Ole 60 and The Castellows joining us. Very grateful for the opportunity and to everyone who’s helped us get here, it’s gonna be one for the books!”

Of course, CWG has been one of country music’s most promising artists over the last several years, first gaining traction with his debut album Seneca back in 2019, which was followed up by to much-anticipated album How the Mighty Fall in 2021. He released his major-label debut Family Ties in 2023, and has firmly cemented himself as one of the best storytellers in country music.

The West Virginia native signed with Big Loud Records back in 2023, and while it may have made some of his fans nervous to see their favorite Appalachian country artist sign with a Nashville record label, it’s undeniable that the move has taken his career to new heights, and booking a show like this is the proof.

He shared the news in a post on Instagram, and tickets will go on sale Friday, May 16th:

“Beyond excited to announce that the boys and I will be making our headline debut at Red Rocks on October 15! And we’re bringing our friends Ole 60 and The Castellows with us. Presale begins Thursday, May 15 at 10 AM MT. On sale is Friday, May 16. We’ve got more giveaways in store for this show, so make sure to keep an eye out for ways to win signed merch, free tickets, and VIP experiences. Let’s go!”

If you’ve always wanted to see a concert at Red Rocks, this will undoubtedly be one of the best on the schedule there this year:

And if Red Rocks isn’t in the cards for you this year, CWG will be playing shows all over the country that run through the fall, with some being headlining shows and some he’s opening for the likes of Eric Church and Whiskey Myers… both absolute dream lineups in my humble opinion. CWG is truly an incredible performer, and I highly recommend getting to one his shows this year. The full list of tour dates are listed below.
