The GOAT doesn’t see himself as the GOAT?
Tom Brady has entered into his post-football life, and he’s doing a very good job making just as much money as he did when he was throwing the pads and helmet on. That’s mostly thanks to his lucrative position in FOX’s broadcast booth (Tom is set to be paid $375 million over a 10-year period to call NFL games), but he’s also ventured into other endeavors, like his vlog series.
Never would have thought I’d live to see the day that Tom Brady put out a vlog.
But hey, it’s 2025 and the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB feels like he has enough going on in his life that he can share it with fans. It never hurts to produce content, and I’m sure Brady is finding a way to milk a little moolah out of it. He at least knows how to get eyes on it, because today, he brought up quite the interesting listical.
The camera man for Brady’s vlog series threw out this question: “Give me your 5 most talented arms in NFL history.” The former quarterback first responded by saying it was a great inquiry, and then later admitted that choosing the names from the various worthy QB’s throughout the NFL’s existence was harder than he thought.
That being said, he was able to produce this list, in seemingly no particular order:
-Dan Marino
-Aaron Rodgers
-Brett Favre
-Matthew Stafford
-Jeff George
-Randall Cunningham
-Michael Vick
-Josh Allen
You could tell that Tom Brady was really struggling – and taking the list seriously – as he rattled off what he believes are some of the greatest arms in the history of football. And yes, that’s more than five players… but I guess Brady makes his own rules? After rattling off that list, he confirmed his picks with these kind words, which is high praise coming from a guy like Touchdown Tom:
“Those guys are a step above. There are people who have great arms, and then you have the elite arms.”
So what’s more surprising: the fact that Tom Brady left himself off that list, or the fact that he apparently has a vlog now?
The above teaser is really just to direct people to his vlog (produced by Shadow Lion) that he posted on YouTube earlier today. Though the 11 minute episode includes the “Most Talented Arms” list, this particular episode of Last Week with Tom Brady focused on teaching people how to throw the football.
If you don’t have the free time to watch it, it’s basically just:
“Throw it like me! Tom Brady! The guy who won seven Super Bowls!”
And sure, maybe Tom Brady didn’t have that jump-off-the-field power in his arm, but I feel like you’d be hard pressed to leave Brady off a list of “Most Talented Arms” when his talented arm garnered not five, not six, but SEVEN Lombardi trophies. But if he didn’t include himself in the list, I guess he’s okay to be left off of it? Or there’s the chance that he was being humble and didn’t feel like he should include himself? He also didn’t include Patrick Mahomes (I’m sure Cris Collinsworth would like a word about that), so maybe Super Bowl winning QBs don’t directly translate to arm talent?
Fans in the comments included names like Jay Cutler, Drew Brees, Big Ben, Elway, Bradshaw and more.
Hey Tom Brady… if you’ve got your own vlog, you can put yourself on a random “Most Talented Arms” list.
