Putting an end to the speculation.
Ella Langley wasted no time letting fans know that she’s, in fact, NOT engaged. Yesterday the Alabama native took to social media, sharing a video of her sitting on a porch strumming Kitty Wells’ “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.”
While the video should have focused on the barefoot beauty effortlessly singing this song, many of Langley’s fans could not take their eyes off the ring that appeared on her left hand. Ring on the left hand… you know where this is going. Quickly, fans filled up the comments section, curious if she was engaged and keeping her relationship private this whole time.
“I’m not trying to be nosy but…. The ring?”
“She’s engaged!?!? The ring!?”
“Why is nobody talking about that ring, though?”
“We all see that ring on your finger.’
“The ring Ella…”
Of course, some die-hard fans still hoped that Ella Langley and Riley Green were together despite both artists denying that rumor and confirming they are still friends. And I also have to give it up to the souls who left comments about Langley and Green being together after the Megan Moroney speculation. They are pretty funny.
“Did Riley pop the question? That man is all over the place!”
“Yes the ring did you get that from Riley? Did he finally give up on Megan and chose you?”
While Langley could have let the rumors swirl for a little longer, sending her fans into a full-fledged spiral, she took to social media this afternoon to set the record straight.
If you were someone who saw her Kitty Wells cover and paid attention to anything besides the rock on her hand, then you’d see a hair stylist behind her indicating she’s on a shoot of sorts. And she shared a little behind the scenes of whatever project she is working on, as she’s brought the prop engagement ring while sitting in her makeup chair.
“Nice. Nice. Look, that’s frightening. Married to my job.”
Straight to the point. Given that Langley reacted to the ring being on her finger as “frightening,” I think it’s safe to say even if she is hiding a relationship, it’s going to be a minute before she’s ready to have a rock on her hand.
Hey, whoever made that prop ring needs a raise because it was so convincing that it broke the internet for a second. Costume jewelry looks a little too real these days.
