Actor, writer, producer, director… concert thrower?

Taylor Sheridan might be the busiest man in Hollywood, and yet, it sounds like he has found the time to throw himself a bit of a party. According to Billboard, Sheridan will be hosting his first concert series at his 1,000 acre Texas ranch, the Bosque Ranch, featuring some famous faces you might recognize from his Yellowstone soundtrack.

Dubbed “Bosque Ranch Live,” the concert is set for September 13th at Sheridan’s Weatherford, Texas, ranch and will feature performances from country music’s Drayton Farley, Kaitlin Butts and Jackson Dean.

“Country music’s roots are deep and diverse, with stories told through raw emotion that bridge a gap between tradition and progress. As a master storyteller, Taylor Sheridan is bringing his inaugural music concert series to Bosque Ranch, offering a fresh audience the chance to experience both the finest country music artists and up-and-coming artists.”

The concert is only open to 500 people, and general admission will run you a rather expensive $500. Various other packages range from $800 to $1,500, which allow for camping on site, various drink and meal options, swag bags, and more.

Seems like it will be quite the unique experience, and that’s what you’re going to be paying for.

Of course, Taylor Sheridan has prominently featured country music in a number of his shows, including Yellowstone, Landman, Tulsa King and more, and some artists have seen some serious benefits from being featured on the show. Dubbed “The Yellowstone Effect” by us, we dove deep into the numbers to prove how valuable prominent placement on the show can be. Artists like Whiskey Myers, Shane Smith & the Saints, and even stars of the show, Ryan Bingham and Lainey Wilson, have seen impressive streaming gains that correlate with appearances on the show.

The Yellowstone Soundtrack

Aside from the plot and the cast, the music in the series is what really hooked me from the very beginning. We’re talking about some of the best in country music, and not the type of artists you’d typically hear on mainstream country radio. No, we’re talking about the unsung heroes of the genre, the ones who were largely underground when the series began in 2018, and many who have blossomed into full fledged country music superstars selling our massive venues.

We’re talking artists like Tyler Childers, Cody Jinks, Whiskey Myers, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Colter Wall, Shane Smith & The Saints, Zach Bryan and many more. Yellowstone also features a ton of Ryan Bingham’s music, who stars in the show as Walker, a drifting, ex-con ranch hand on the Dutton’s Yellowstone Ranch. And the first half of Season 5 introduced us to a new character named Abby, who is played by country music star Lainey Wilson.

Since you only hear small clips throughout the show, it might be hard to grasp just how good this soundtrack truly is, so we did the heavy lifting for you, tracked down every single song, and put them all in one place for your listening pleasure. From Season 1, all the way through Season 5, our Yellowstone: The Soundtrack playlist, available on Spotify and Apple Music, has garnered nearly 205,000 followers.

It might just be the best playlist on planet Earth… so a big shoutout to music supervisor Andrea von Foerster and Taylor Sheridan for putting together a phenomenal collection and pushing real country music into the spotlight.
