Perfect for your Valentine’s Day playlist.
Today, Jon Pardi released a new song from his forthcoming Honkytonk Hollywood album called “Love The Lights Out,” which is a super sultry, sexy track about taking things slow and leaning into the temptation of desire.
The song was co-written by Pardi along with Jimi Bell and Matt Dragstrem, and is certainly the perfect song to listen to on this love day…
“Haven’t seen that look in a minute or two
Bringing back that wild in those baby blues
Maybe it’s my whiskey, maybe it’s your wine
That’s getting us closer to a real good time
Let’s love the lights out
Knock some things off the wall
Burn the night down, down
Till that black dress falls
Wreck me like it’s the last time, baby
Your lips on mine still drive me crazy
Let me love you, let me love you till the lights out
Gonna love you, gonna love you till the lights out”
Like I said, steamy.
Honkytonk Hollywood is due out everywhere on April 11th, and Jon says this song in particular is about “appreciating when you’ve got something good” and taking your time:
“Sometimes, you can’t get your boots off fast enough. But, this isn’t about one of those nights. This one is for appreciating when you’ve got something good and can take your time.”
Jon put out his last studio album Mr. Saturday Night in 2022, and a holiday album called Merry Christmas from Jon Pardi in 2023, so it’s been quite a while since we’ve heard from him in terms of a lot of new music. I now fans will be excited to hear this new one, and if you haven’t already, go ahead and add it to your Valentine’s Day playlist:
Additionally, Jon’s headlining 2025 Honkytonk Hollywood Tour will kick off in Lubbock, Texas in April and run through June finishing up in Bend, Oregon.
He is bringing along Corey Kent and Kassie Ashton as openers, and a portion of ticket sale proceeds from the tour benefit the newly established Starlight Fund. Founded with his wife Summer Pardi, the Starlight Fund supports organizations dedicated to providing opportunities and resources specific to young people in need that are pursuing a path in the trades, agriculture and construction.
