A historic show.
Today, Zach Bryan shared that his upcoming show at the University of Michigan’s Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor this fall is already completely sold out… making it the “biggest ticketed show in American history” in what will be the first-ever concert at Michigan Stadium.
Just insane… tickets just went on-sale this morning. That stadium is the largest stadium in the U.S., and officially holds 107,601 people, although is has held crowds of more than 115,000. In June of 2024, George Strait packed 110,905 people into Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, breaking the record for the North American attendance record for ticketed concerts.
Considering there will be people packed on the field at Michigan Stadium as well, that record will certainly be in-reach, and considering it’s already sold-out, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they manage to surpass The King, which feels kind of crazy to say, honestly. We’ll have to wait until the show happens for the final numbers, though, because it’s still unclear exactly how many tickets they’ve sold.
John Mayer, Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone are set to open the concert, and of course, Zach and Mayer collaborated previously on “Better Days,” which was featured on Bryan’s 2024 The Great American Bar Scene album.
It’s still wild that Myer is opening for him, but that just goes to show what a massive act Zach has become, if this new ticket record isn’t proof enough. Zach shared the news on Instagram, thanking fans for all of their support in a heartfelt message:
“You guys just sold out the biggest ticketed show in American history. I owe you my life, my humility and every ounce of effort I have. I love y’all more than any song. What a wild and rowdy damn 6 years. God bless the musicians who came before us. The respect is immeasurable. Thank you so much for having us University of Michigan, we won’t let you down.”
If you managed to score tickets, it’s going to be quite an event:
Zach Bryan Tour Dates
Zach’s tour schedule is expected to be very limited this year compared to last year, and so far he only has a few other shows for 2025. The Oklahoma native also sold out three nights at MetLife Stadium with the Kings of Leon as his supporting act, and he recently announced that he will head to the west coast as well. On August 15th, Zach Bryan will perform with the Kings of Leon, Turnpike Troubadours and Noeline Hofmann at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
He’s been teasing and releasing a lot of new music, and promises to release an EP called With Heaven On Top sooner rather than later.
