Kid Rock Throws Stacks Of Cash Into The Crowd During Surprise Performance At His Nashville Bar

Making it rain.

There are plenty of artist-owned bars on Broadway in downtown Nashville these days, but one of the most popular is always Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock ‘N Roll Steakhouse (yes, that’s the real name).

The bar is owned, of course, by Kid Rock, along with Steve Smith, who owns several other venues on Broadway like Tootsie’s, Rippy’s, and Honky Tonk Central. And Kid Rock’s massive five-story bar is (for some reason) insanely popular with tourists, which means it’s pretty much always packed shoulder to shoulder. Not really my scene, but hey, people seem to like it.

And another reason people go to Kid Rock’s is because it’s one of the few artist-owned bars on Broadway where you actually have a pretty good chance of seeing the owner himself there on any given night.

Kid Rock (whose real name is Robert James Ritchie) spends quite a bit of time hanging out at the bar bearing his name. So it’s not uncommon to see the rocker take the stage for a song or two and entertain the crowd, often with some of his friends like Jelly Roll or even John Daly.

Over the weekend, ol’ Bob was once again hanging out at the bar and decided to grab the mic for a couple songs. But that wasn’t all that he had in store for the crowd.

While performing “All Right Now” by Free, Kid Rock asked one of his crew for a bag of money – and as they began handing him stacks of cash, he made it rain on the excited crowd in his bar.

Now, I think it’s fair to assume that Kid Rock was three sheets to the wind during the whole thing. He looked like he had been partying for a while, but of course everybody in the crowd was probably pretty drunk by that point too. And hey, can’t beat free money being thrown out, those Nashville bars are expensive. Maybe they’ll use the cash to grab some Liquid I.V. because the hangover after catching a stack of Kid Rock’s cash in Nashville has to be absolutely devastating…

It’s been a big week or so for Kid Rock, who was in Washington DC on Monday to celebrate President Donald Trump’s inauguration. He played at Trump’s “Make America Great Again” victory rally the night before the swearing-in, and then performed at one of several inaugural balls on Monday night to celebrate President Trump.

And he also had an awkward moment during a BBC interview when he told a reporter that she sounded “sexy” and asked her to go skiing with him.

He also revealed that ahead of the inauguration, President Trump called him after they heard that the Secret Service had squashed his idea of having strippers on stage with him during his performance at the victory rally:

“Friday morning I got a call from the president and Melania and it was kind of mind-blowing, I’ve tried to leave him alone, he’s got a lot on his plate, I would think, right now. He called and he goes, ‘Did the Secret Service really tell you that you can’t use strippers?’”

But Kid Rock assured the president that it was just a joke.

“No, sir, I was just joking around.”

But apparently Trump got a kick out of the whole thing:

“Ah, that’s funny.”

Classic Bob. You never really know what you’re going to get – and sometimes he’s just throwing out stacks of cash.
