Laying down an unreleased gem.

Zach Top has officially embarked on his Cold Beer & Country Music Tour. This tour is the first official headlining tour from the “I Never Lie” singer, which is often mindblowing, given his level of fame.

2024 was the Washington native’s breakout year, to say the least. He had a stellar year from the release of his debut record, supporting Lainey Wilson on her Country’s Cool Again Tour, taking the stage at many festivals, and receiving his first CMA nomination.

This year is off to a strong start for Top. He has sold out nearly every date on his tour, and fans are begging for more dates. While Top has confirmed he will add more dates for the fall, he’s not letting fans’ frustration get to him during these first shows.

In fact, based on social media sharing, it appears Top is nothing but smiles during his first shows of the tour.

While the Cold Beer & Country Music Tour celebrates the songs featured on the record sharing the same name, during the first shows of the run, Top is giving fans a peek at what’s in store for (hopefully) this year. During these first shows, Top has been highlighting an unrelated ditty.

Zach Top is channeling his inner Jimmy Buffett on this track, seemingly titled “I Don’t Give A Flip.” If you have been following ZT since day one, you might recognize it from when he used to sing on live streams. He performed it a few times during those sessions.

The beach-inspired anthem features a man who buys a one-way ticket to a tropical location and meets a beautiful woman while lounging with a margarita in hand. However, things go south when this woman takes advantage of the man, taking his belongings and leaving him with a broken heart. The song’s chorus is the perfect play on words, as the man doesn’t give a flip if he ever sees that woman again.

“Now, I don’t give a flip…flop
If I ever see that beach again
She tore me apart
Walked barefoot on my heart
Left me lying there in the sand
I’ll find another place with waves and shade
And a girl who knows how to treat a man
So, I don’t give a flip, flop
If I ever see that beach again…”

Yep… that will be stuck in my head for the foreseeable future. This song perfectly combines traditional ’90s roots, which Top has established as a cornerstone of his sound, with a bit of Jimmy Buffett island flair.

If this is a taste of the new music Zach Top will release this year, we are in for another incredible year of his music. I hope we get this one sooner rather than later.

Check it out.

While you’re here, fire up his other island-inspired track, “Busy Doing Nothin’.”

And if you’re fighting the winter blues and need to bring a beach to you, head over to Whiskey Riff Shop to snag some ’90s attire.
