People always say to live in the present… but it sure looks like this father is having a great time living in the future.
Much of lower 48 got hit by Winter Storm Cora earlier this week, which brought snow, sleet, and freezing rain to much of the southern United States – and then continued to move up into the northeast. Thousands of flights were canceled, and traveling by car became increasingly difficult in many parts of the country.
Like Atlanta, where residents seem to collectively lose their minds when wintry weather hits.
Some people let the snow get the best of them, but not this Dad from the Nashville, Tennessee area. Steve McPherson wasn’t intimidated by the forecasted 4-to-6-inches of snow. He instead got his handy-dandy tarp out of storage and went to work.
For people out there that hate snow, they usually feel that way because they have to get out in the cold weather to shovel and scrape the winter wonderland off their driveway and sidewalks. And I get that… doing hard, physical labor just so you can get your car out of your garage can be tough work. But maybe those people should take a page out of Steve McPherson’s playbook.
Before the snow came and piled up in his front yard, he laid out a plastic tarp that covered his front steps and sidewalk. When the winter weather hit, the Nashville area man just sat back and relaxed without a worry in the world. That’s because he knew the cleanup once the snow had completed falling would be a breeze.
And you can see the genius at work in the video below:

Brilliant. That’s some next-level, first-team-all-American snow management.
Those on social media have let out a collective, “How did I not think of that?” This Tennessee dad is going to change some lives for the better this winter, and he’s getting the credit and recognition he deserves online:
This guy just defeated winter.

I feel you dad!!! I’ve done this with a blue tarp, like I’m part of the grounds crew at cubs field!

Legendary move.

Surely there’s a Nobel Prize category for this

And you know he’s gonna save that plastic for the next storm too 🤣

Well, of course he’s going to! There’s no sense in making a trip to the hardware store when you’ve got a tarp that has already proven it can do the job…
