And the award for “Parent of the Year” goes to…
One of the best ways you can avoid being attacked by wild animals is simply to stay away from them. The National Park Service advises people to admire wildlife from a distance. Specifically, people are supposed to stay 25 yards away from non-violent animals, and 100 yards away from bigger, more dangerous animals like bears and wolves.
But all those rules go out in the window at the location of this latest deer attack video.
This clip is believed to be taken at the Nara Deer Park in Nara, Japan, which actually encourages visitors to interact with the animals that are on the property. The deer that roam the park are called Sika deer, and those that go to the property can pay for “deer crackers” that they can then use to feed the deer population. How has that gone, you might be wondering?
Well, it’s believed that there are around 1,200 to 1,500 deer living in the 1,200 acre park, and from 2017 to 2018, there were 164 human injuries reported. Most of the incidents originated from people trying to feed the deer. Shocking, right? It’s almost as if getting close to wild animals, and training them to be fed by humans, is a bad thing.
I feel pretty safe concluding that it is a bad thing, and if you need an example as to why, look no further than this video below. Some parents walked right up to a deer in the park and encouraged their toddler to approach it. Just as the presumed father of the child was reaching out to pet the animal on the head, the wild animal went into attack mode and completely leveled the kiddo, who was probably not much older than 1.

That deer literally said, “Your a** is grass.”
Poor little guy was shocked as could be as his father questionably picked him up by the puffy jacket. A crying session broke out (understandably) as everyone in the immediate area suddenly realized that getting up close and personal with a wild animal isn’t a good idea.
The internet certainly let the parents know that, and also didn’t feel as though the hard takedown was off limits from jokes and comical observations:
