Hitting the road with good company.
Dwight Yoakam just announced a massive tour, and he’s bringing some great acts with him. The Pikeville, Kentucky, native just announced his The Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo Tour, which will kick off in February 2025.
The massive 33-stop tour spans the Midwest to the Southeast, and sadly for those West Coast fans, he will not be heading out there with this tour. While Dwight Yoakam on stage makes for a magical night, he is bringing 49 Winchester and The Mavericks on the road with him.
“The Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo tour continues… Dwight, The Mavericks, and 49 Winchester will be live in concert next year!”
The Mavericks will join Dwight for each night of the tour. 49 Winchester will be at most dates, but there are a few where only the Mavericks will accompany Dwight.
Tickets for the tour go on sale November 22nd, with the ability to sign up for early access.
Dwight Yoakam is gearing up to release a new record, Brighter Days, and is already sharing a few singles to tease what’s in store. His latest release, “I’ll Pay The Price,” is a perfect heartbreak ballad as Yoakam sings about a flame that he would do anything to get back. The lyrics are simple, written by Yoakam Jeffrey Steele, and the production follows that classic Bakersville sound Yoakam is best known for.
“I’d pay in jewels
I’d pay in gold
Ten times the cost
For one last roll
Take any deal
Thrown by your hand
And pay the price
To hold it again
I’ll pay the price…”
The record is set to come out tomorrow, November 15th, and I’m excited to see what else is in store for it. While you’re here, fire up “I’ll Pay The Price.”
