Addressing the breakup head-on.
Brianna Chickenfry is breaking her silence on the Zach Bryan breakup after he released a statement via an Instagram story earlier today, confirming that the two have parted ways.
Since the very beginning, the pairs dating experience has been in the public eye, however, Brianna recently cleared up any rumors on the BFFs Podcast, saying that they were still together. But then, after screenshots of Zach’s alleged Raya Dating app profile appeared, he confirmed that he and Brianna have parted ways, saying the following on his Instagram story:
“Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her.
I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and never will be.
Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space in this and if you have it in your heart, mine too. With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”
Shortly after, Brianna posted to her own Instagram story, and she confessed that she was blindsided by their breakup.
“Hey guys, I’m feeling really blindsided right now.
Gonna hop off social media for a while and attempt to heal privately. When I’m ready, I’ll be back and ready to talk. I love you guys so so much. Thank you for all of your kind words. Remember you are so loved and everything’s always gonna be okay.”
That obviously led fans to believe that they had agreed not to publicly talk about yet, and a little while ago, Brianna shared an almost five-minute video on her podcast YouTube channel Plan Bri Uncut confirming that was the case, and she was not prepared to have the information go public yet.
She was sitting on the floor of her bathroom, explaining that she had been crying for “five days straight,” and the pair officially ended things last night, though obviously there was trouble in paradise longer than that.
Brianna thanked fans for all of their messages, and promised to eventually talk about everything once she was able to grieve it all first:
“Hey guys, I look insane, I have my crazy lady robe on, I’m on the bathroom floor. Something about a bathroom floor gives me a lot of comfort, so I’ve been sitting on a lot of bathroom floors the past couple of days. But, um yeah, I’m probably not gonna post this for a little while, but I just woke up to Zach posting on his Instagram that we broke up, and I had no idea that post was going up.
He didn’t text me, he didn’t call me, I just woke up to a bunch of texts like ‘Are you okay?’ and I’m like, did my f*****n’ dad die? And yeah, so I’m like completely blindsided by that. I also genuinely feel like I have… see how swollen my face is?
I’ve been crying for, like, five days straight. Sorry if this video is gonna be a lot of jumping around, but I’m just at the point where it’s like, how can you give someone everything, and love them so unconditionally through stuff that you shouldn’t… because you just love them and you want them, you see the good in them…. this is so embarrassing.
I don’t give a f***. How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then be discarded in a few days? It’s really, really heartbreaking and I don’t wanna talk about details right now.”
She said they broke up yesterday, and that there’s a lot she’s still processing at the moment:
“I don’t wanna talk about it yet. I will, obviously, but right now, I wanted to heal privately and I didn’t even know that he was gonna post that. We broke up yesterday. So I wasn’t ready to do anything publicly, and I’m just getting like a bajillion freaking texts and sh*t. I want to just handle this as a human first… I’m gonna be okay, I’m gonna be fine, I’m just obviously really, really hurt right now.
And I wanted to just be hurt for a week, and like lay in bed, you know? And I just didn’t want it to be public, so I’m just feeling blindsided. I love you guys a lot, thank you all the kind people, I mean genuinely just for reaching out to me. I’m not answering sh*t today. I’m not dead, I’m just gonna go lay down and f*****n’, I don’t know, watch ‘Love Is Blind.’
That’s probably not a good idea. Regardless, everything‘s gonna be okay. I just don’t wanna talk about it, so please don’t make videos about this, and please don’t make videos about me. Just wait till I come back and talk about it. Can you give me f****n’ that? Okay, peace and love.”
Obviously, it’s all very fresh right now, and it’s gotta be hard for her to get on camera and do that for thousands of people to pick apart. Breakups suck no matter what, so I’m sure they’re both going through it right now and just want to be left alone… something that’s difficult to achieve when you’re a public figure in a pretty public relationship.
It clearly sounds like they each have long road of healing ahead, and we’re wishing healing and happiness for both of them.
