A final message from one girl’s father is now going viral.
Suffering a loss in the family is always incredibly challenging – especially if it’s unexpected. Often times, people who experience sudden loss just wish they could have said one last thing to the person before they passed. Somehow, the girl in this video and her family are getting that even with their dad passing away out of the blue.
As she described herself in the TikTok she posted:
“My father passes away unexpectedly and as we were cleaning out his house, I found this ominous note shoved in the very back of his dresser.”
And ominous is a great word for the note, because the piece of paper was folded into a protected case and read:
“Do not read… unless you want the answer.”
That definitely leaves the door open to be a number of different things. There was probably even a part of her that didn’t want to crack the note open, just in case the “answer” was something they were better off not knowing.
However, as she went on to explain, the girl didn’t think there was anything serious that her father would try to hide:
“My dad was a simple, straightforward man. Hardworking and honest, so this is completely out of character for him.”
She added that she was nervous to see what it was as she unraveled it to reveal the message inside. Sure enough, he had left behind some incredibly crucial and potentially life-changing information in the note that was stuffed in the back of his dresser:
“The f**king Cracker Barrel Code.”

What a gift to leave behind. Never again will this girl have to sit down at a Cracker Barrel and wonder how to beat the Peg Game. Her dad left behind the keys to unlock the puzzle… it’s almost like a National Treasure movie.
Everyone that scrolled through and saw the video – which has now been viewed over 2 million times – loved that the father was able to get in one last joke:

It truly is… though the creator of the video replied to that comment and showed that even with the great loss, she’s still got her sense of humor:
“Actual information I need for paperwork? Absolutely not. Cracker Barrel code so I can flex on the senior citizens during Sunday brunch? Hell yeah brother.”
