Tough scene in the comments…
With the 2024 election right around the corner, we’ve already seen plenty of celebrities jumping in and giving their endorsements for either former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris.
Of course it’s no real surprise who Bruce Springsteen is voting for. The Boss is a longtime supporter of the Democrat party, supporting Barack Obama way back in 2008 and criticizing Trump during his first administration. Springsteen even cancelled a show in North Carolina because the state passed a law requiring those who identify as transgender use the bathroom of their biological sex.
And in 2020, he narrated an ad featuring his song “My Hometown” for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign while also lending his music to the campaign.
So it’s not exactly a shock that Springsteen is endorsing Kamala Harris this time around, though yesterday he made it official with a video posted to social media:
“With full knowledge that my opinion’s no more or less important than those of any of my fellow citizens, here’s my answer: I’m supporting Kamala Harris for president and Tim Walz for vice president, and opposing Donald Trump and JD Vance.”
Springsteen called 2024 “one of the most consequential elections in our nation’s history” (feels like we hear that every year) and called Trump “the most dangerous candidate for president” in his lifetime (feels like we’ve heard that one before too). He also said that Trump should be disqualified from holding office ever again.
Again, not really a shock, or anything that we don’t hear every election cycle. Every election’s the most important, every candidate is the most dangerous yet, rinse, repeat.
And naturally, how you feel about the endorsement depends on who you’re voting for yourself. But for folks who support Trump and took to the comments of Springsteen’s endorsement, it seems like everybody had one thought: Why does Bruce Springsteen look like women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe?

Of course it’s not the first time Springsteen has been roasted for his looks. Earlier this year, a photo of the singer made its rounds that had people comparing him to everyone from Tilda Swinton to Ellen Degeneres or a Ken doll – and yes, he got the Megan Rapinoe comments then too.
